The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Tennis Elbow

Has anyone on this site ever gotten tennis elbow or know the symptoms. I am asking this because my forum is hurting me occasionaly when i lift and i have recently notice a small bump right below my elbow on my forearm and I know tennis elbow deals with swelling....

I've never seend a doc and been diagnosed with it, but I've had forearm and elbow pain. I used the brace (my mom had it kicking around) that you can buy for the drugstore for it and it works wonders!!
Use that thing and ice works wonders. Oh and avoiding skullcrushers helps a lot too.

I use it when it's aggravated. In the summer I got it from playing too much dodgeball (camp leader here ). I wore it for probably a week or two and really nursed my elbow. I haven't used it since september....just careful with what movements I do in the gym (namely no skullcrushers). Seriously, try the brace from a drugstore. They're like $15 and are basically a big velcro strap that goes around your forearm. It was a huuuuuuge relief!!

That sounds like an awesome reason to further damage your elbow and put yourself at risk of life-long problems.

I have this weird pain in my right elbow when I lift heavy bench. I can feel the ligament on the inner part of the elbow going over the top part of one of the bones. Not sure what to do to fix this. Any ideas? Didn't mean to hijack the thread but maybe your symptoms are similar to mine?

Black neoprene sleeves - work wonders to keep the joint warm and contained.

There always has to be at least one person in every thread that just has to give a smart ass response

Really? How do they help? I'm in for anything that doesn't involve the stupid brace....god bless that thing, though.
