The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Lower Body 12/29/06 Video

Hey guys heres another video of this mornings lower body workout. The first set is 455 lbs on wide powerlifting squats, i cant stand this and i miss depth like hell, oh well, second is 405 x 2 the same way and im still missing a bit maybe hit parallel on the second, im better narrow full squats to be honest. Thrid is 315 x 1 zercher and look how fast i come up lol i almost fell, i didnt get 365 x 1 on video but it was just as easy. Last is 500 x 2 RDL's.

    Enjoy

    Listen for..
elephant sex noise during the zerchers, yes that was me, and some good war cries during the RDL's

Good lifts. Maybe it's just me but you could have went lower on the squats. Either way, very strong and excellent job.

    thanks guys

yeah i missed, im going back to regular oly squats until my hips are more flexible, my upper end strength on squats is tremendous compared to my full distance, easy 700 lb half squat from rack and 600 front from rack, just gotta work on the low end.

You're moving some decent weight around but I gotta say you're nowhere near 20%

Honestly, you sorta look like you got 20lbs to lose to hit 20%

Why do you guys think he looks that fat?

First off. He has a shirt on, so there's no way of telling anyways.

2nd he doesn't look anywhere near as fat as you guys are making it out to be.

    Stump.

On the zerkers. That was the sound I made yesterday when I took a dump. Strong squatting!!

Stumprrps moving good weight for ANYONE let alone a 17 year old man with less then 2 years total experience. There are men 5-7 years older then him, bigger then him moving no where near the weight he moves and that includes A LOT of people on this site.

He has to be holding atleast 175 LBS of LBM.

Zerchers look painfull bro, 315 was all I could hold onto on my first go round a week ago. But they are good for building strength!

thanks for getting my back all, i get very defensive since i used to be really heavy lol

IRL - zerchers are TREMENDOUS but i have a slight feeling they are easier then back squats, i cant get that kind of speed when i go full on back.

im really dissapointed at how crappy those squats were, ill video tape some more full squats another time.

looks like a mean 25% BF to me! =/

    Doubtful.

I think your estimate of 19-20% is much more accurate. I'm not saying it to be nice either.....25% is way to high for your muscularity.

You didn't go far enough down on the back squats, but still much better then average.

How much weight was it again. I'm not sure I agree zerchers are easier, but they do seem to hammer my quads a bit more then back squats do. Whatever it is, the reason why I seem to favor my left leg goes away when I do zerchers so maybe theres my first step in figuring that out.

You're skinny-fat AND weak.. how does that feel, huh?

    *hides*

Seriously, holy crap that back-double-bi shot is insane. You look massive and you put up bigger weights than the guys in my gym with 15yrs experience and who also juice.

    Nice lower strength, Stump.

Question though, were you straining your lower back during those RDL's?

Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.
