    is there a special way to find out how many maintenance calories i need
    i have never figured it out before and would like to know how

    eat like you do on an average day. go to www.fitday.com its free Once you register put in all the foods you eat every day for a week or two. Thats your maintance. To cut add eat 500 less then that number to bulk eat about 500 more. Track your progress and adjust accordingly.
