    lats

    What is the BEST excersize for building thick lats? Pull ups?

    Bent Over Barbell Rows.... I find that they hammer my lats, they also work good if you throw in some higher reps lat pulldowns after, but thats just personal preference.
    Stats:
    Age: 22
    Height: 5' 5.5"
    Weight: 180 lbs
    Max lifts: Squat:320 lbs, Bench: 195 lbs, Deadlift: 290 lbs.
    Max Comp. Total: 805 lbs

    rows havent really done much for my lats, i think vertical pulling is better for lats but thats just my 2 cents

    only dumbell rows hit my lats good. bb rows hit my lower traps more.

    I incorporate both bentover rows and pullups/lat pulls. They all help.

    i second that, db rows hit my lats pretty well. You can be completely 90 degrees and keep your elbows rreally tucked in.

    chemical andy, I like low reps for my rows, i like to do them heavy, 5x5 or somethign like that
