The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL This is hilarious. The intro is classic, and his "range of motion" for almost all the lifts is a joke.

He has a better body than me, but I have no problems laughing at him nonetheless. I don't think he's joking, but this is probably great for impressing girls (that don't know any better, not Built).

    I loved the squats.

Some people get bitched out for going half way. This kid was going half that!!

I don't think he was trying to be funny, he was serious. That made it funnier

What a complete joke... the raw egg at the end really completed the whole video. If I had a friend that made that video, I would kick his ass and send it to every single person i know to make fun of him. I don't know which was funnier, his squats, leg press, or dips. They were all by far the worst attempts i've ever seen.

    lol
maybe all he needs is guidance.

I could be wrong, but I didn't perceive the vid the way most of you did. I got the feeling he made it because he felt he was starting down the road and needed to inspire himself with it..... not that he already thought he was mr. universe and showing off.

Form/ROM was horrible on nearly every lift. PFTT lol the future of bodybuilding yea right.

I like how on the incline bench his rom got worse and worse as the weights went up.

Worry about what you are doing, not what he's doing.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
