    xanax and training

    Hi all,
    I hate flying and had to take a flight earlier this week. I took one 1mg xanax. I had a prescription from 2005 and had a few left over. Anyway, it helped with the flight but I was wondering if it could have any harmful affects on training/recovery? I had just lifted the night before.

    Xanax half-life is anywhere from 6 to 24 hours. So after 24 to 48 hrs you should be fine. Shouldn't have any adverse effect on recovery regardless of dose timing. If you feel in a fog or like it is still affecting you just postpone the session a day if possible.
