The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Help about dum bells

    Hey there,

Currently I am lifting 5KG dum bells.. These are sand dum bells. I lift them everyday except Sundays, because apparently you have to take at least one day off!

I am 13 years old (14 years old in April) and was wondering will this stunt my growth or stop any puberty changes etc?

They say its a myth, but still, I'm not going to take any chances.

Simple answer would even be appreciated!

    SO suck on this Lol

    Nice segway.

No way in h3ll that's going to stunt your growth. Go play videogames - I hear they're fun at your age. Your reflexes will never be as fast as they are now - take advantage and have some fun.... or play some sports with your friends, better yet.

Usually it's ok for boys to start lifting around the age of thirteen, but in your case I'd leave it for another seven years. Seriously kid.

:withstupi yeah i would leave it for a few years. you seem very immature and seem to have no way of getting someone to teach you form and how to lift properly which could result in injury. i would wait till you can join a gym then go.

besides, those 5kg weights arent gonna do anything for you.

Well you kinda set yourself up for it. Look at it from other peoples point of view. Youre a little 13 year old trying to be tough. These members would snap you in two.

Responses like this.. are why people say you are not mature enough to learn how to lift properly. I'd say wait at least 2 years.

haha nice, 13 year old sense of humour, good stuff

id get myself to a gym if i were you, but dont do what others do, because thats wrong most of the time - look up all these exercises:

    - deadlift
    - full squat
    - bench press
    - ab pulldown
    - overhead press
    - one arm dumbbell row
    - power clean
    - pull up
    - dumbbell shrugs
    - leg curl
    - dumbbell side bend

type these names in on www.google.com an search on how to do each one of them one by one, once you have done that post back here an tell me

    a) You are asking questions that have been asked a bazillion times. Click "Search".

    b) You ended your post with "SO suck on this Lol" - hence the lack of respect.
