I pulled 405 for twenty some reps and I was only pulling 650 at the time. Some people have better endurance or red fiber ratio while others have a slightly higher fast twich or white fibers ratio's these tend to deplete themselves quicker thus explaining why someone can perform more reps than some one else at his same level. This is not a catchall answer though.

no straps - guess i'll have to suck it up well that is if i can get one i havent done conventional deads in a minute
Way down this road, in a gym far away, a young man was once heard to say, "I've repped high and I've repped low, No matter what I do my legs won't grow."

He tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses, too. Trying to cheat these sissy workouts he'd do. From the corner of the gym where the big men train, Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain.

Where the big iron rides high and threatens lives, Where the noise is made with big forty fives. A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees, A very big man with legs like trees.

Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack, Chalking his hands and monstrous back, Said "Boy stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, Trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN"

    Room to improve.
Face it: biceps are the muscle that classifies you as a muscle man.

Striding across the fields, carrying a vorpal blade, cometh Clawhammer! And he gives a bloodthirsty bellow:

"As sure as predators devour prey, I shall paint the town a sanguine shade of doom!!!"

SO let me get this straight, we are aloud 10 secs in between reps?
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

I've done 425 before but my endurance completely sucks for every exercise.

I rarely go above 8 reps for anything. I tried doing reps with 225 for deads and I was absolutely knackered after about 10, even though it's not heavy.

I think to spice up the competition it should be double overhand.

edit: I don't plan on attempting this, after watchin the video bearwolf posted I think i'd go crazy and waste adrenaline that way

You don't want too much adrenaline flowing for reps based competition. If you aren't concentrating on your form, you'll **** yourself all up.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

I have a feeling there are going to be so many rules to this comp...soon i will have to do 1 rep in 4.5seconds, dbl overhand hook grip 20" apart, .25g of chalk, blue chuck taylors with black shoe laces, while wearing pink shorts.

Keep it simple guys. Set a time, no bouncing, set which equipment is ok to use if any, and go for it. Why all the damn rules? Who cares if I pump out 10 reps and want to take a 30second break, or if I want to do a rep every 15 seconds. Christ.

    LOL

Just pull the weight, No bouncing it only takes a second for the weight to be deadweight. I'd like to be done pulling in as short of time frame as possible.
With the current rules 40 reps wins, 180/4.5=40.

    Exactly.

After my heavy deads yesterday I pulled 365x8 Stiff-legged with no belt. If I tried it in a belt sumo, I bet I could get close to 20, but who knows. Won't be trying that anytime soon, lol.
