The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Need help with routine...

Well, I am back at lifting weights again. I had quit lifting long enough to forget my old routine and I want to create a new one. I am limited to what I can do for exercises (I use a bench at home). Here is what I have so far...

    Shoulder Shrugs
    Bench Press
    Leg extension
    Arnold Press
    Hammer curl
    Chest Fly's
    Tricep extension
    Upright rows
    Deadlift
    Lunges

I need a few more. What should I add and knock off? I plan on working out from Monday-Friday. If it isn't a problem, can you help me divide each exercise to each day of the week. I want to mix in legs and upperbody each day (if possible).

    -Thanks a bunch.

Do you have anything against using a premade routine? You should check out WBB1 or BGB.

Join a gym if you don't have a rack at home.

There is a link in my sig to stuff I wrote. A couple of those articles explain how to set up your own routine.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
"You're wrong, and I have a completely irrelevant pubmed abstract that may or may not say so." - Belial

How is this for a routine? I want 4 days of weight training and one dedicated to simple body weight training (for a change of pace). I want to add another exercise to "chest" day, but I do not know what?

    Monday (chest/leg):

    -Chest Fly
    -Incline Barbell Bench
    -Leg Extension

    Tuesday (back/leg)

    -Stiff legged Deadlift
    -Dumbbell Shrug
    -One Arm Dumbbell Row
    -Lying Leg Curl

    Wednesday(rudimentary)
    -Pushups
    -Situps
    -Rope Skipping

    Thursday (biceps/forearm/legs)

    -Hammer Curl
    -Standing Barbell Curl
    -Barbell Wrist Curl
    -Leg Lunges

    Friday(shoulder/triceps)

    -Arnold Press
    -Overhead Tricep Extension
    -Upright Barbell Row
    -Standing Lateral Dumbbell Raise

So, you didn't read the articles I told you to read?

Oh woops, I didn't catch that. I will take a look at it.

Hopefully I can create a routine by tomorrow. I want to start lifting with a good routine.
