    I think this is gonna be a fun training cycle. Since I am lighter now, I was able to squeeze into my tight Ace suit, even with my Ace briefs on. Only my second gear squat in 7 months and I was very happy with the result. I think it is time to hammer some bands so I can get used to unracking and handling the heavy weights again and then make a run back up towards 700.

    Thanks man. Luckily today I didn't have to do much heavy lifting...I had to flag traffic, lmao. So I stood there, bored as hell with my back cramping up trying not to get hit by trucks.

    I don't always use a box when I go raw. During my hiatus from lifting gear(~7 months) I did a lot of free squats raw(either with no belt, belt only or belt+wraps). Right now I just started back in gear and am squatting once per week in gear and then other day I am doing raw box squats real wide like my gear stance. I do them off a Plyo box that puts me just above parallel. The next smallest box is way too low and I am in a commercial gym without many options for a box. This way it doesn't destroy my hips and still gives me some extra work for the hamstrings, hips and back.

    Was working on empty tonight. Not much sleep last few days since I went back to work. This workout was fueled by caffeine and the desire to hit a PR total in 7 weeks. Weights definitely felt heavy on my back, but it is coming back little by little.

    Since coming back to gear squatting I have done:

    555x1-Briefs, belt+wraps
    600x2-Briefs, suit bottoms, belt+wraps
    415x1+Blue+green bandsx1- Briefs, belt+wraps


    So I have had a heavier weight on my back each time. I have some more gangsta band sessions planned out, so my top end should be ready to rock come meet day. I also seem to be getting good depth in my gear, so that should not be an issue.

    Did this session real fast between work and school. I was kinda weirded out during the SLDL set because the bar was rolling on me and I was losing grip...after the 5th rep I had to stop at the bottom and regrip. After the set I checked the bar and realized it was bent. Next time I will double check before my workset, lol. I ended up bumping the box squats by 40 lbs instead of 15, just felt like it, lol.

    On Wednesday I went in the gym and banged out 20 sets of upper body assistance work in about 30 minutes in between work and school. Yesterday I rested and tonight I plan on benching heavy.
