I wanted to hit a heavy double or triple. When I do this, I typically warm up with singles until I get to the workset. 595 felt real easy, so I figured I could triple 600. We just added 5's which made it 605.

I forgot to mention that John cut the leg opening a little bit for me after the 505 set. This made it easier to push my knees out and the following sets were better.

What's your opinion on the whole thing going down with WSB and the APF?

All I know is, the more things I read or hear about KK, the more I dislike him. That email that he sent to the Ukrainian lifter is absolutely disgusting. Also, Louie is and always will be the man. He gives back to the sport more than KK and has been doing it for much longer. I'll basically sit back and see what happens, but I know a lot of lifters feel the same as Simmons and WSB.

Pretty damn good session tonight. I've been feeling like I was coming down with something since Wednesday morning(after back to back marathon workouts and little sleep). I wasn't sure if it would affect this workout, but I felt pretty good on everything and I was able to do a ton of volume. Most of these Thursday sessions should look something like this as long as I don't start to burn out.

BWT- 163(at night after workout....gettin back up there) :alcoholic

Totally impressed by the way you take care of your own business plus still take the time to school others.

Thanks bro. I have been blessed to train with so many different training partners. Some very experienced guys who helped me when I started out(Chris Taylor, John Bernor, Eric Adolph and more). Fortunately, I have been able to pass on what I have learned to a lot of guys/girls just starting out. It's a lot of fun when you have someone new to all the different techniques and lifts that we do. Paul is very good at listening to what we say and learning the new techniques(even when they feel awkward). Trust is key.

Felt sick as a dog today. I have a pretty nasty head cold. Would have been a smart day to take off, but I still felt pretty strong. I have to look it up, but I think my best ever double on conventional is like 460. The 455 was strong, I just crapped out at trying to pull the third rep. I think Paul's pansyness rubbed off on me, lol. J/K bud. After that the SLDL felt like junk. I was going to do a few sets of 5, but my back said no thanks. I just did my assistance work and got out of there. I have 48 hours until heavy bench, so hopefully I'll feel a bit better. Need to eat, sleep and take some vitamin C.

    Thanks fellas.

Freakish- the amount of pullups you can do is freakish.

Stump a hump- Going heavy is the most fun. I actually have a plan for deadlifts that I'd like to follow. Whether I do or not is up in the air since I change my mind daily. The idea is this:

4 week rotation. If today is the start then,

Week 1- heavy conventional pulling(many diff variations, just heavy) I might do rack pulls, off mats, partials off blocks, gear, raw, heavy singles doubles or triples. Goal: go heavy and kick my ass.

Week- 2- Speed work w/bands conventional. Work on being explosive. Without speed, I have nothing. I will not work up heavy here....or at least that's the plan.

Week 3- Sumo- volume singles full gear. Like the videos I posted a few weeks ago. I would like to pull some singles in full gear @ 80-90%. Work on my technique in the gear without maxing out.

Week 4- more speed work. Probably no bands standing on mats. Or, I may experiment with pulling with chains...never did that.

I will add in SLDL as a second movement on some of those days. Probably the sumo-style. I will also continue to box squat as the first movement.

We shall see if I can stick with that for more than 1 week.
