    That was all. We have a nasty storm rolling through and most gyms/businesses are closed today. Luckily Pete's garage gym was open. I've been sick for the past week and skipped my last three sessions. It was bad timing since I am only a few weeks out, but I decided to rest so I wouldn't be rundown going into the meet. Today I felt pretty good considering and went over my opener in bar weight, plus I had the bands on there so I can't complain. According to the chart they are supposed to add ~55 lbs at lockout.

    It's been almost two weeks since I did any squatting or pulling. Hips didn't feel beat up for once, but I didn't feel 100% strength-wise. No reason to push anything now as I am 11 days out. I will do some bench assist stuff tomorrow and prob another light SQ/DL on Saturday and that's about it. Other than that I will just try keep my food intake up and rest. Should come into the meet fat and happy....but I'll make sure to get angry by deadlifts.

    Worked up to my last warmup weights for the meet. I am 8 days out. My openers will be 405-250-510. My goal is to hit a PR total(1250 is my current PR), but I really want to break 1300. We'll see how it goes in 8 weeks. Very, very light stuff from now until then just to keep moving.

    It made no sense pushing that hard 6 days out, but I felt strong and just kept going. I actually got the 10th rep with 225 up high enough to rack it myself, but couldn't lock it out fully. My best set ever with 225 is 8 reps.


    BWT- 180! This is the fattest, I mean most jacked, I have ever been. I am feeling confident for some PR'S going into this meet and I think if I continue to eat like this I will make some serious strength gains in the next few months following the meet.

    Ok, I will not lift again until the meet. I haven't worked since the hurricane and I'm used to doing a lot of physical labor during the week. My back, hips and knees all feel pretty good. The only thing bothering me right now is my elbows, they are fuckin killin me lately. I don't see them affecting my lifts at all at the meet though. I might go in a few times between now and the meet and just do some walking on the treadmill or something. 5 days out!!!

    My first goal is a PR total, but my main goal is 1300+. I am confident that I should be able to hit all of my squat and bench attempts based on how my training went, but we all know anything can happen on meet day. If I hit them all I will jump to exactly what I need for 1300 on my second deadlift and see if I have anything left for a third.

    First time I have ever gone 9 for 9 in my life. This meet only made me enjoy the "raw" RAW, Rawrr, whatever you want to call it lifting even more. So much less stress, so much easier to pick your attempts IMO and right now it's just much more enjoyable for me. Putting on these 15 lbs in the last three months was the best decision ever. I pretty much smoked all of my lifts and I definitely will be building on these lifts in these next months to come. I absolutely feel if I can avoid any serious injuries that I can get up too a 1400+ total within a year @181.

    Also, Gene and Amy ran a great meet! They brought 3 monolifts, 3 comp benches and 3 deadlift bars with them so the meet ran really well.

    My back and hips are still crazy beat up from the meet. That's probably why most people don't squat and deadlift less than 48 hours after a meet. The funny thing is, I think a triple with 375 might be a PR without wraps. My back had nothing in it for pulls though so I decided not to push it with any more triples.
