    Haha, I'm never sick or "sick" for work. I've only been in the Union for ~4 years and 3 of those were as an apprentice. I am still making a good name for myself so I show up every day ready to work. Fortunately, the overnight shift was switched to tonight, so I did my normal day shift yesterday.

    Squat:

    400- good
    435- good(5 lb PR)
    Passed on 3rd

    Bench:

    270- good(10 lb PR)

    Total- 1255(5 lb PR)

    I felt like total trash right from the get go. I will definitely not be doing any more weight cutting during the summer while I'm working. I felt weak. I was dehydrated and on very little food at work, which for me is dangerous. I will come into the next meet at 181 and hit the numbers I know I am capable of. All in all I hit some small PRs and I didn't injure myself. For coming into the meet how I felt, I guess I can't complain about that. I think I also won best lifter for the light weight amateur men.

    Great lifting CR despite the odds and a PR is a PR, better change that sig. Not getting injured and/or re-injured is a frequent goal of mine as well.

    Yes, that is a good goal to have. I'm just happy to be back to training for the next one and I plan on coming in ready for PR's across the board in November.

    Going to be working in some sumo pulls a bunch this training cycle. They felt pretty good tonight. I know what I've hit with chains conventional, but I don't think I've done a lot of heavy raw pulls sumo, so I'll base any PR's from here.

    Also, instead of going heavy on squats and pulls almost weekly like I was, I plan to do a heavy pull week with light squats and then the following week I will squat heavy and do some lighter pulls. We'll see how long I can keep that up.

    No sir. I'm doing another RPS meet in November, not sure after that. My raw lifts would have to come up quite a bit before I traveled to a big meet to lift.

    First time doing front squats in forever. I have only thrown them in sporadically throughout my years of training. They are a HUGE weakness, so I think I need to build them up. I find it odd that I can deadlift in the mid 500's, yet a low 200's front squat makes me round over like I never touched a weight. Hopefully I can fix that. I am going to continue to keep this day of the week as a beltless day, with decent volume and hopefully bring up some weaknesses. I also am trying to avoid going wide two days per week because my hips have been really beat up lately and my right one in particular just doesn't feel too hot. Hopefully focusing on some weak points will help.

    I love front squats and they definitely help my pulling strength out a lot. Your deads will be even more monster when you start jacking up the FS weight, good lifting lately sir.
