I hadn't done zerchers in ages. Going to use them a few weeks during this cycle for something different.

Do you do your banded bench work in a rack or on a regular bench?

This was on a regular commercial bench. If I do them at my buddy's house we set them up in his power rack.

I've been having to set up on a standard bench as well. When you double up on the mini do you loop it through a small plate under a larger plate etc...? Also strong squats, loving the fronts as well

I just put a DB on each side of the bench and double it under the handle. Use small plates up against the DB's to stop them from rolling around.

Going to try and work on some weaknesses by bringing up exercises I don't use too often for Upper work as well. I weighed myself yesterday and was still at 173. I tracked my cals yesterday and pounded down ~5600-5700 throughout the day. Needless to say, I felt strong today.

I think I'm going to like this separate days for squats and deads. Much easier to focus and put all my effort into the movements. 535 matches my second best gym pull ever and I had more in the tank. Good start to this training cycle. 13 weeks out

Ridiculous orangutan pulling Chris. I definitely prefer separating heavy squats and deads but then again im a coward. 535 is huge man you'll pull something awesome at the meet for sure.

I was working overnight and I got a message during my training session that we had to leave an hour earlier than planned so I had to skip Front squats and abs. So I got some work in, but not what I hoped.

Interesting. I'm putting squats and Deadlifts back together on one day. We will see who had the right idea come winter I suppose. Keep up the intense training.

I'm really starting to think the pain I have in my right hip/groin area is more than just simple tightness. I don't think I've had a strong squat workout since weeks before my meet. The only decent sets I have done have been backdown sets. I may take a few weeks off of squatting and just focus on my pulls and do some light hip work/foam rolling/rehab type stuff. Everytime I start to put weight on the bar I just feel pain as I push out of the bottom and everything feels slow. I'll talk to my peeps and see what needs to be done.

I am 99% certain I had a double in me with 270 and a single with 275-280, but I just took the PR and stopped. I don't need to chance missing weights this early in the meet cycle and I had no spotter and missing a floor press sucks.

Strong couple sessions sorry to hear about the pain in your hip. Definitely a good idea to take it easy on the squats if thats whats irritating it. Look at dem floor presses! Awesome PR CR. Definitely eat more skinny I might catch you in weight.
