    great work off that low box Chris. That bar had to be throwing you forward quite a bit at that angle. How was your speed off the bottom?

    Bear- remember, I wear briefs wheh I do those...not RAWDOG like yourself.

    HB- Yea, I gotta keep it wide. Close stance is for suckers, lol. My speed could have been better, the briefs I use on those are 4 years old and suck ass. They do however, make my hips hurt slightly less.

    Big- I feel good squatting with the SSB. On the top sets, I sometimes feel myself going a bit forward, but typically not on the speed work.

    Fury- thanks man. I don't really like to pull without doing some form of squat first. I'm weird like that. I think 405x8 wouldn't be too bad for a skinny bastard like myself. Maybe one day I'll try it.

    I figured out a few things today. I should not do reps in the shirt...unless I am going off of a board. For some reason it is very hard for me to stay in the groove and I end up dumping it back towards the rack more often than not. I did get one solid triple in with 325. All the reps were around 1-2" from touching or so. I think I will do reps on boards only and do singles when I go full range and or heavy bands. I'll try that for a while and see how it goes. I also learned from seeing the video that I get a pretty nasty arch with my new setup. My back never hurts from it and my ass doesn't come up. Plus, I am getting good leg drive.

    So, the shirt work was all over the place, but I feel very strong(for me) which is promising. My lockout strength is increasing and I am coming out of the bottom fast. I think if I got a brand new shirt(of the same style) I would hit something decent. If I gather some money together I will try and get one before I do another meet.

    Tomorrow I will do some form of squatting.

    The speed pulls were being done with 315. I decided to work up after that, against my better judgement. But it was damn fun. :alcoholic I didn't bring the camera that day because everything was supposed to be light. I got a few vids of bench tonight. I'll get them up by tomorrow.

    With the way I had the shirt set, just a bit more weight. I can set the shirt different and touch much lighter.

    Sidior- please look closely at the first and third vids. That is why I tell you to get some damn spotters for shirt work. That is what happens when you tuck real hard and don't flare in time.

    Chris the speed on those is nuts. I honestly wish I had a crew to train with but at the best of times one spotter is all I have. It seems your right foot was moving around onn the 325x3 set though. Specifically your heel sliding out. Does this happen often or just while repping?

    Sid- it may have been the reps or just slipping on the floor. Next time I'll try newer sneakers with better grip and see if it helps.

    I was real shot all day long today. Didn't get enough sleep after heavy benching yesterday and just wasn't feeling it. I managed to get 2 decent worksets in, not much volume. Raw squatting still feels weird. I brought my stance in a little bit, but it was still bothering my knees a bit, so I used a wrap on my workset. As per MR. Bernor, I will go back to my gear squatting every week and use the raw as a second movement. This is how he does it and this way my gear squat won't feel weird like the raw stuff by not doing it regularly. We'll see how next week feels. The zercher set was brutal. I felt I was getting rounded over like crazy, but I fought up 5 reps. Not sure what I'll do with those.

    Those are some nice bench sets man, but dang, no touches in any of the vids. Is that what I should expect when I get a shirt? What weight can you actually touch at?

    If I want, I can set that shirt where I will probably touch 225. I can also set it where I would have to fight to get 365 or so to touch. It's all about how much you "jack" the shirt and how much you are willing to squeeze it through the pain. I can touch any weight I want out of the groove, but then things get real ugly. Shirt benching can be one of the most frustrating things to do. It's not like you just throw a shirt on and bench 100 lbs more. It can be rough.
