Just for the hell of it Deeder. Some of my buddies are gonna do the same thing. Should be fun.

    8/16
    Bench assistance

    Decline press

    1@095x10
    1@135x5
    1@185x3
    1@225x3
    1@245x3
    1@255x3
    1@225x9

    Bench Press

    1@135x3

(Add single-ply Inzer EHPHD/all reps touched easy)

    1@225x1
    1@275x1
    1@305x1(Single-ply PR/easy)

    Flat DB press

    1@50'sx5
    1@70'sx5
    1@70'sx17(PR)

    Seated DB press

    1@50'sx15

    Decline Kaz presses- 3 sets

    Hammer curls- 2 sets

    Pec deck- 2 sets

Had a good night tonight. I had decided coming in that I didn't want to do heavy shirt work. My hammies and back were still sore as hell and I decided I would do assistance. My buddy Andrew brought in an old-skool Inzer poly and I decided to try a few singles in it. It was so easy to bench in. You just bring it down and shove it up. No fighting with the shirt like when I use a good shirt. I know I won't get a ton out of it, but if I can just break 300 at the meet, I'll be happy. I think I was good for ~325 or so in it tonight.

Tomorrow will be SQ/DL assistance. Not exactly sure what I'll be doing yet.

LOL, single ply! That's just funny.

It might actually be a good way to pre-load the body for a heavy equipped meet.

You went crazy with the DB bench!! I didn't realize you usually benched in a 2ply shirt... interesting to see what you can do with the single ply.

Nice lifting Chris. Why the high rep DB presses? Just for fun?

Also, how old are you? I saw in your deadlift video in the videos section that some posters were saying you had 20 years experience? I thought you were my age for some reason. That was a nice lift btw.

Thanks everyone. My weight at night(when I train) can fluctuate between 166-169 or so. I try and keep the reps higher on assistance work for bench because too much heavy stuff really kills my elbows and shoulders. I kinda ripped off the high rep stuff from John Bernor.

BJ- I think they just pulled some numbers out of their asses. I have been lifting since I was a Senior in High School and I started powerlifting in 2002. I am now 27 years old(getting up there)

    SQ/DL assistance on 1 hours sleep...yea, 1 hour

SSB Box squat(Raw-diggity/no belt/moderate stance inside rack/~15" box)
(All sets done with 1 set of Green/Average bands choked)

    2@155x3
    2@205x3
    2@245x3
    1@265x1
    1@295x1

Leg press machine(with weight stack/narrow stance)- 2 sets

    Leg ext- 2 sets

That was enough for tonight. Did a few knee wraps and watched some big squats and pulls by my training partners. The 1 hour of sleep sandwiched around 2 days work and 2 workouts didn't make me feel so hot. Friday's on normal weeks during this training cycle will have more volume than this. Tomorrow I will rest(going fishing on a lake up in Conn.) and then Sunday I will bench. If I feel up to it I might throw the Phenom on and have some fun. We'll see.

    8/20
    Heavy bench

    Bench press

    1@135x5
    1@185x1
    1@225x1
    1@225x3

    (Add 4-board)

    1@275x3
    1@315x2(misgrooved the third)

    (Add Super Phenom/no boards)

    1@345x3
1@365x1(missed 2nd/flew back into the uprights)
    1@385x1(~1-2" off/came up easy)
    1@405x1(~1/2" off)

    Lockouts(floor/short ROM)

    1@225x3
    1@315x3
    1@365x3
    1@385x1(Wrists totally shot)

That was it. I skipped yesterdays bench session because I really felt rundown this weekend(lack of sleep, being out in the sun, etc.) I decided last minute to go in tonight and bench. I actually felt like crap, but somehow managed to push up 405. I just missed touching before I shoved it back. Technically it's a PR, but I don't like to keep track of PR's that don't touch(whether it's a board or the chest). That way I'll always know whether it was the same conditions(instead of like 1/2" off or 2" off, etc.). This shirt is totally nasty. Hopefully when I get more used to it I'll be able to touch lighter weights(~365 or so). I'd love to be able to open with something like that in November. I also found a much better/tighter single ply shirt to try out for the October meet. I will probably try that one the next shirt workout.

Tomorrow I will squat and pull(sumo) in a single-ply Fusion.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the support. Lone, we caught a few largemouths and smallmouths, nothing too crazy. It was fun though.

    8/21
    Single-ply squats and deads

Squat(all sets walked out of a squat rack)

    Warmed up to 185x2 raw

    (Single-ply Fusion/straps down all sets)

    1@225x2
    1@315x1(belt)
    2@345x3(Felt easy)

    (Took off Fusion/switch to single-ply denim briefs+belt)

    1@345x3
    1@405x2(very easy)

The denim briefs have waaaay more support than the Fusion. In the SSA I am allowed to wear single-ply briefs with a singlet instead of a suit, so I may do that with those briefs. I think I can squat something nasty in them. We'll see.

    Deadlift(Very wide sumo)

    1@135x1
    1@225x1

    (Single-ply Fusion worn backwards/straps up all sets/belt)

    1@315x1
    2@455x1
    2@525xmiss(both to knee area)

I think the backwards suit was dumb, oh well.

    Deadlift(Wide-sumo/belt only)

    1@405x1
    1@500x2(PR double)

    BB rows(overhand reps/underhand reps)

    1@135x5/5
    1@185x5/5
    1@225x5/5

Ghetto-rigged East End Barbell signature Reverse hypers- 3 sets, buncha reps, bands

Pretty sick stuff tonight. I tried to go back to my super wide stance on sumo and switch the form a bit. Either it didn't work or it was the dumbass idea I tried to use the suit backwards. I was weak off the floor and couldn't get past the knee. I was annoyed, so I figured I'd completely kill myself and pull heavy raw. 500 came up pretty strong, so I came back down and grinded it back up for a double. I was losing my grip at the top so I locked out the second rep in my fingertips. It did a number on my callouses, so that's always fun.
