    Bands took off 100 lbs in the hole and fully deloaded at lockout. Walkout with the last two weights sucked.

    Nine of the singles were done hook grip, the other two were done over/under. All were fast. On the 8th single I ripped open a huge chcunk of skin on my left thumb(no blood though). It didn't tickle. I taped it up and it didn't affect the last few pulls.

    Good session tonight. I was very happy with the squatting. I am already getting much more comfortable and consistent with my groove. I have never even done that many reps with 315 with a belt and knee wraps before. That work set was real strong and then I did a few heavy singles afterwards. If I can hit 500 like that pre-exhausted in only my second week back to raw, then I am excited to see where I can go with this.

    The hook grip felt real good tonight too. I was working on really trying to hammer the weights off the floor, since the hook grip has seemed to make me slower off the floor. Tonight I was more explosive and it felt great. Still can't wait to try it in the suit for conventional.

    First time doing a bench session @ East End Barbell since I started this small training cycle. Felt great to get a handoff on the bench. Felt good to work up to something heavy with the chains too since I haven't done anything real heavy for bench in like a month. Like I said, next week I will do some shirt reps after my raw work sets.

    That's the part I don't know. So for now, each workout I try and push the hook grip for as long as I can. Some research may help here, lol.

    Thanks Heath, I love training so hopefully I'll be able to do this for many more years to come.

    Face pulls can be done with bands or a cable(usually a rope handle). It basically would be like a horizontal upright row. I start with the cable or bands basically anywhere from shoulder height to a little above my head. You pull the band or cable towards your face and contract your rear delts/upper back.

    Bands are excellent. The mini bands are a must and you can use them for almost anything. After that it is really up to you and what you will be using them for. If you plan to be doing some really heavy work you could use greens and/or blues. For general fitness stuff minis should be sufficient and maybe the purples(light bands).

    Actually I had to cheat on the last few reps with my left arm and use a little leg drive. Holding off til Friday? Whatever do you mean?

    Totally shot. Squats went well. I was happy with the work set. Hopefully next week I can manage 385 for 4-5 reps. As of next week, squat day is Tuesday and Deadlift day is Friday. I'm just pulling aimlessly and I have no idea why. I need to do some extra squat stuff after my work set to keep me occupied if my knee is up to it. Maybe next week I will do the reverse bands again or some box squats as a second movement.

    Yea, I think I have never tried to squat over 3 plates "raw" without knee wraps before. My gear squatting and raw squatting feel so much different. I am doing these raw squats with a pretty wide stance and it feels more natural for me. We got my workset on tape tonight. It's not the best angle to really see my form, but at least you can kinda get an idea.
