    my suit straps are loose when i stand up and tight when i squat down to reach the bar. i agree with you, i think all tight straps do is make it harder for you to pull your shoulders back. maybe try maxing out on high rack-pulls (just the last few inches) with the suit on one week and the suit off the next week and see if you find a difference.

    Yea I dunno what it is with me. So far my best conventional pull in a belt is 525 and my best in a tight suit is 550. Other people get a better carryover. It's annoying to hammer everything off the floor and get stuck the last inch or two every freakin time!!

    My knee was sore as hell after all the running in softball, so it was hard to get any leg drive benching. That being said it still went pretty well and doing assistance work @ EEBB is much better than using the crappy benches in a commercial gym.

    Finally handled some decent weights in the bench. On the two first attempts with 405 off the 2-brd, I had someone other than Bernor set my shirt and hand me off and they just felt different. The first one I set my feet up weird and had no leg drive and shooting pain in my knee. Then I setup better, but couldn't lock my left arm the last inch. Finally Bernor came back and set me up for the third shot and I freakin smashed it. So I decided to work up heavy off the 3-brd to overload. Next week I will likely come down to a 1-brd.

    Didn't feel good all yesterday and today. I am all congested and it made breathing during the reps hell!! I was pissed on the deficits because I expected to hit a triple. I really like the wild pulls though because I really feel myself having to focus on pulling back and shoving the hips through above the knees, which is my biggest issue with pulling. I just wanted to experiment with pulling a weight after taking those bands off to see if it felt fast. It was the opposite, lol. My above the knee grinder muscles were totally fatigued so I started shaking like a bastard when I got that high. Just squeezed out the single and held it for a while. Grip feels good.

    I decided to pull like 30 mins before I went to the gym. Warmups felt pretty good, so I decided to try for a raw PR. I rushed my setup a little and didn't drop my hips all. I stiff-legged it until just above the knees, but I wasn't able to finish it. 515 felt strong though.


    With the holiday weekend coming, I think I will do like an RE bench workout tomorrow and then rest on Saturday and Sunday(well, party Saturday and rest on Sunday, lol). I plan on doing a higher rep deadlift day on Monday to back off the heavy stuff a bit, maybe just some volume wild pulls. Then I want to shirt bench on Tuesday. That is the plan for now.

    Up to there I was trying to pull with similar technique to Konstantinov. It felt ok on warmups, but when I got the heavy set it felt tough. I had tried this for a little while last year, but I figured I would try again since I am stronger now. I still think it would hold back my midrange-lockout. So I ditched it and went back to normal technique.

    That was it. Decided after the second try @ 630 that I was going to do SSA Nationals next week. I will compete @165 and plan to hit a total PR. My bench feels strong, squat felt great when I got the belt set right today and my deadlift will hopefully be good for ~550 if I can lock it out this time.

    That was the first squat I did in 5 weeks and the first time I used that T-rex to squat in like a year. That being said, 630 didn't feel heavy at all. Good things.

    Way to take that 2nd attempt with 630 Chris. Looks like everything is on track!

    Yea I just hadn't used that suit in so long, I wasn't sure how tight to make my belt. When I wear the canvas, I need like two people to close it because there is so much extra material bunched up around the waist. This suit fits snugger in that area, so I was able to make the belt tighter, which made a huge difference!!
