The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Cool job on the seminar Vin! I'd love to buy a dvd if you'd ever do one. I can sit next to my road to the arnold and my EFS ones

Don't sweat one bad meal bra, one meal means ****. Like all the tiny guys that say they eat a ton, it just don't mean anything

Thanks Risk, I appreciate the support.

EZ-E, that's our nickname for you Eric. I would have eaten the cookies but you forgot the milk. I think Glenn needed them more than I did. He looked like he was wasting away. Eric, it was cool working with you. I hope you take some of the advice on consistency and patience. You have very good potential. It's up to you now.

    Core Day

    SSB squats 290x5, 335x5, 390x5
    Trap bar dl 290x5, 335x5, 390x5

As a bench only f@g I could have easily skipped today's workout. I usually train core on Sunday, but I was too beat up from the seminar. Anyway, I knew I needed to get it done. My reward, going out to mow the lawn afterwards. I hope I have enough gas in my tank to hit DE bench tomorrow.

How about MIZ-R-E, that sounds more appropriate. I definetly need to get in the shirt more often. If I have 3 to 4 weeks between getting in the shirt I get a serious case of shirt amnesia. Now its time to get back to work, and I will hopfully come up on a Friday night soon.

I have only lost one X in about 17 days. I only lost half the X for nutrition, but I still got exercise in that day. Starting to feel good. Thanks for asking.

Nice DE work and I'm glad to hear that the X's are still coming. Keep up the good work man! I can't wait to see what numbers you get. When are you next competing?

    Awesome lift, brother.

And please pardon my ignorance, but what are the "X"s you refer to?

The X's are for me to have consistency in my diet, weight training, and conditionig. There is no reason I can't do some form of exercise everyday whether it be training, cardio, or gpp. I should also be able to hold a quality diet together for more than a few days at a clip. My wife told me to put a calendar on the fridge and mark each day that I exercise with a red / and mark it with a blue \ when I eat well. Both will combine to make an X on good days.

I have 16 X's out of the last 17 days since I have started. I got the exercise / the day I missed. I just had one bad diet day. I ate a bad meal, but never got it back together on the day. I did not have a single shake or supplement. I ended up being light on my cals that day. That's what I am trying to avoid.

Mr Dizenzo..if someone wanted to increase both their overhead press and bench press, what sort of set up would you recommend? I know you've excelled at both, and I suck miserably and any form of pressing. Thanks

I have had success both benching and shoulder pressing in the same workout. I have also had success keeping my benching on Friday's and my shoulder pressing on Tuesday's. You could also give Wendler's 5/3/1 program a try.
