The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    My home gym pics

You've shown me yours, I'll show you mine:
Set up for squats or shoulder press. You can see my homemade bumpers for DLs and Pendlay Rows. The bench is flipped up for clearance, but inclines and declines.

Pullup bar, and homemade "rings". Stairmaster in background (fiance uses that mostly).

We crossfit together, and I do Rippetoe's routine MWF before she gets home. Other things you can't see are Plyo boxes, grippers, medicine balls, etc.

OOPS! Christmas present from fiancee. Not really in the Gym, it's in the dining room.

Thanks, I have 540lbs. I can shrug it easy enough, but I'm not quite there with my squats/DLs

    If I get 4 more 45s, I'll be good.

Looks good, although the pull up bar is nailed into the ceiling right where I like to put my hands.
My brother and I were brutal. I once chased him around the house with a spoon that I put on the burner. I burned that little pricks leg. -sharkall2003

Not really a choice there, but I put my hands just on the outside of the joists. My fiance does chinups with a close grip.

Yep, and in October for my Birthday, she surprised me with a cruise to Bermuda. She called my boss and arranged the time off and everything. She's a keeper.
