The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks Bakinator. I've been eating!! Man, weighed 175 before prac. today, IDK if u kno how hard it is to gain weight while ur sweating 100,000 gallons every day! (over-exaggeration, ofcourse) :P

Practice was nice today. Didn't have to wear pants. Got out an hour early. Did pretty good on drills but I'm still way out of shape and it's hard to go 100% all the time. Made a few plays on D, and started on O again. We now have 5 linemen out with "injuries", so that means we've got 6 linemen that can play D line and O line all practice, wich means we get ZERO REST because we have to have enough for a second team to play against the starting O/D... crazy ****. Oh well. Conditioning was alright, we did 5 yard sprints for 5 minutes. Did a sprint every 12-15 seconds probably.

Oh yeah also lifted a bit before practice.

    Bench : 135x5, 175x8, 185x6, 195x6

Jed's 100 percent right, idk where the hell our team is but theres barely been enough varsity players to field an offense and defense. I suppose like 5 are hurt, a couple are gone..... theres not a whole lot of seniors this year I guess. Not getting breaks really wears on ya.

Bako, no pants means no football pants w/ pads in them, we still wear shorts you big perv!

Did some running @ the track before football today. Rae's helpin' to motivate me to become the best that I can, so I need to get in top shape for my team and so I can go 100% for the whole game! Just did a bit then I was wiped...

Wind Sprints every 50 meters jog/run on and off : 400 meters. (i.e. sprint 50 meters, jog 50 meters, sprint 50 meters, jog 50 meters, etc. until finished with set)

50 meter sprint x5, with enough rest in between to go 100% each rep.

    100 meter sprint x1

400 meter joggish/runnish... jogged the first 200 then ran the next 100, tried to sprint the last 100 but it was pretty slow but I was going 100%...

Wow crazy night last night!! Got a ticket for 65 in a 55 no big deal. Ate a crap load and almost crapped my pants literally!

Football was good felt great, started offsense again and played some D. Conditioning was 16 Crossfields. One crossfield = 30 yard sprint then jog 10. With 1 min rest every 4. Got to take helmets off halfway and pads off last quarter. I really flew in the last quarter!

Football was good today. Was nice out with nice breeze. Conditioning was pretty good, sprints of :
    5x2
    10x2
    15x2
    20x2
    25x2
    30x2
    35x2
40x1... I won first place out of the linemen, I think that was the fastest I've ever ran a 40! The coaches were just like "Woah!" haha.

    Hehe thanks.

Did I ever share about the 260 pound 6'6 kid stepping on my hand...? Yeah well we were in a dog pile and my hand was on the ground and a 260 lb lineman stepped on my hand with his cleats for like 2 whole seconds... it was unbearable. Thank god I was wearing padded gloves atleast. I couldn't move it for like 45 seconds. Now its got a big nice swoll up place on the top of my hand. Way painful and annoying, I hate it!! HUrts like a mofo!

Gah it don't show up in pics I tried It's not really bruise color, but its a big puffy spot that's a little darker. I could've sworn it was broke from the pain the first minute, but then it got better.

Also just thought I'd share, Gage won 1st place in the Deadlift competetion at the Iowa State Fair. He weighed 149 and was in the 168 division, and pulled a totally RAW 405, no suit or anything just chalk. People come from out of state to compete in this, and he won against them and people with suits and everything! Congratulations to him!!

You should get him posting on here!

And one less pound he could have competed in 148! 405 is pretty impressive.

Yeah I've told him about WBB, I might bug him a little more about it. Actually he said he was lucky because the national DL record setter or w/e was there in the 148 and he pulled 505, so he would of got second if he was in 148!

    Offense so far.

They don't make her look better, but they don't make her look worse. She's great either way.

    I'm not slow

I love school, it's pointless. It's a giant ice cream social with no ice cream.

Conditioning Tuesday was hell, sprints of:
    40 yd
    80 yd
    40 yd
    80yd
And do that twice more, with about 30 sec rest in between each run.

Todays prac was sweet, rained and was all ****ty. No conditioning.

    huh?

Practice was nice today, hot for the most part and then cloudy toward the end. Nice and muddy and nasty out. Conditioning was IOWA drill for 300 yards, IOTA drill for 300 yard, and one 110 yard sprint. That last sprint was slow as a snail!
