No leg accessory today, LOL. Talk about holy sh**, that was some crazy ass stuff right there. I added +15 lbs from last cycles numbers, so I don't want any "why didn't you add more weight" bullpuck! I'll add more for next week, I thought 15 would be enough though. Very happy to see that my deadlift is really taking off; 245x17 in the formula comes out as 383, which is pretty close to my alltime PR. I would love to see how many times I could hit 285 now (285 is the 1RM I got testing them for the program), haha. Legs were jelly after those deads, and justifiably so, resulting in cutting out accessory work for quads/hams. They were pretty f***ed up at the beginning of the workout just from squatting earlier this week still. Gonna enjoy this next two days of rest that's for sure. Check the vid, I think I did a better job of letting the weight down; at least w/ the first 10 or so reps. Then I got a little fatigued and sloppier. Cheers brothers.

Wow, 17 is unreal and unheard of! Honestly dude, add 30 lbs to your deads! Deadlifts are probably the highest risk of injury when you trained in a high rep range out of any exercise. You'll be fine with your steady progression if you add 30 lbs, don't be scared to. Form looked better, too. Great job, buddy.

Yeah, but I squat with loose briefs and wraps. If it were raw, you have me beat! About the knees, I think it's just about routine. Consciously drive those knees out with every rep and it'll become a habit for you. It's not serious so don't sweat it.

EDIT: Oh, and awesome millies!! That's a great PR! Your pressing strength is very impressive.

    Coke - Thanks man!!!

Keith - Alright man i'll throw 15 more lbs on it again for this week... Hear you on the injury risk. My lower back was literally obliterated the next 3 days after those deads. I'll keep working on those g'damn squats then. Not sure if the mili's was an alltime PR, but it was defnitely a big jump from last time. Thanks man.

Fantastic workout! So stoked that I hit 225x9, with at least 1 more to spare I think. Felt great, wanted at least 7 to break last times 6.5 and managed to get 9 strong reps. The dude was a bit too close to me for my taste but he meant well and kept his hands off the bar, although pretty damn close to it! Defnitely not a fan of spotters, ever. Couldn't use the power rack though cause there were too many people using the free benches. Was able to finally complete 5 sets of 10 on chins again, so that's a goal met. DB Extensions and Decline DB Presses were both increased weight or reps from previous sessions, too. So all around a nice workout full of PR's for every lift!

Edit : LOL - I posted the whole workout thinking I did 8 reps on bench, come to figure out after watching the video I hit 9 reps!!! F***ING AWESOME!

Holy **** you're coming along!!! There's no slowing you down, eh? Great job on that. I'm no fan of spotters either. I got my taste tonight after being at a commercial gym. That guy looks like he's spotting a squat. The ones who mean well are usually the ones that you're able to correct and teach. Tell him how to spot a bench and he'll probably appreciate it. You've got me on chinning strength now, too. My fatass can't do 5x10 unless I take 5 minute rest periods, haha.

Haven't posted in a little bit but you better believe I've been following along, bro. I'm impressed at how quickly your strength is coming along right now. That set of deadlifts is puke-inducing. 17 reps? Yah, time to add another 40 lbs to that lift, lol! The form looked really good in the video. Looks like you got the hang of the descent. That bench was looking mighty strong too, bro. Lol at the guy spotting you. At least he took it seriously. Not sure why he was dropping down with the bar and practically humpin your face but oh well. So glad to see you hit the 5x10 on the chins. I know you've been working on that. Really strong, bro! It's gonna pay off. How're the joints all holding up for you? And is the body weight holding steady or are you moving it forward?

Holy s***, I just realized the 17 repper that you did up there!!!! Are you smoking crack dude???? WTF is wrong with you??? Haha, just playin. That's insane man. Then you got the high rep squats to follow it up in a later session! Definitely kickin some arse in here bro. I do believe that the "all out set" at the end of each day is what makes you strong as hell for the later cycles. The mindset is "Well, I did 12 reps last time....I should at least be able to get 10, if not 12 again this time...." And then by cycle 12, you're still SMASHING the prescribed amount of reps! Good stuff man!

Keef - Actually, that fella should be teaching me it looks like. He is f***ing yoked when you see him in person. No stopping me for now, that's for sure man. I'd say we're tied in chins or you're better, i'm deviating back to my 3/4 rep scheme; i've been feeling 'em in the lats nicely lately.

Keph - Yeah the deads were a bit extreme I agree, i'll add some more weight for this weeks session. I'll keep improving on my deadlift form then! It felt good for the first 10 or so reps, then I just got so fatiged the descent started to get sh**ty again. Yeah that dude meant well, all is good. Bodyweight is moving steady now, just weighed in at 191.5 today which is highest i've been for about 8 months My joints are holding up fairly well, but actually my knee has been freaking me out lately, and the usual right elbow tendonitis is sneaking up again. My knee is scary cause I have almost never had knee problems, even through them getting raped in football for 4 years. It's hard to say why its acting up; I cut out quad work for squats today because of it.

Bri - LOL, I giggled at that one. No crack smoking here, gotta stay clean for the feds. Thanks for the kind words dude. Definitely agree with you about the final sets is what really makes this program special. Going all-out is the way to go and what really makes the difference for me.

Bor - Thanks dude Almost like the old days!

    BW : 191.5 w/ shoes, shorts, cutoff.

Happy with the squats. I was a f***ing moron and forgot that I was doing 333 today and I did 5 reps for the first two sets which wasted a little bit of extra energy, so I think I could've comfortably hit 11 without those extra four reps. Ah well though; my first week of 555 on C1 I could only hit 215 for 10 so this is a big improvement from week one. My knees felt pretty damn sturdy this time, really tried to focus on it. They were pretty good up until rep 8, then they started faltering some, but even then by the last rep they were still almost in line with my feet, just deviated 2 or 3 inches inward I think.

I cut out quad accessory to keep tension off my right knee, it's been freaking out lately. Today when I was walking back from class it kind of popped and I almost fell down, and it hurt pretty bad for a short time. Then it kind of just felt like it was loose/unstable for a while which is very weird of my knees. I have rarely had problems with them, even in football season(s) in high school. They held up fine for squats though.

Awesome benching broski. Your setup looks exactly the same as mine, feet way back, pull myself into an arch with the bar. Are you on your tippie toes or can you touch your heels once you get an arch?

Hehe, thanks dudely's! Vain, I would say if I really tried I could get my heels pretty close to the ground, but not touching. I prefer them on their tip toes any how. Where are yours, do they touch? I know for competitions many require the heels on the ground but I don't plan to compete anytime soon.

Squats are really coming along, bro. That's weird about your knee popping. Probably just a joint settling and nothing to worry about. You're gonna have me beat on all the lifts soon, lol! I think it'd be awesome to see you compete in the next couple years. Most federations do want your heels to touch the ground, and head touching the bench. You should test your 1RM with a pause on the bench soon. I'd love to see where the 225x9 puts you. Glad to see the weight moving forward too! You should come out to colorado some time for a vacation and we could do some training. What are you studying again at school?

Yeah the knee was scary but hasn't happened for a couple days now. I dunno what you're talking about man, you'll have me beat on deadlift for a long ass time, if not forever! So long as you keep lifting that is. Yeah I would need to find a way to put my heels down if I would ever compete, and I don't think it'd make a huge difference in stability or anything. I'd like to compete and all, but for now i'm just worried about gettin' bigger and stronger. I might try a 1RM pause-n-go just for you then. I'd love to go to all of your guys' domains and hit up a few sessions with ya; unfortunately I don't have the time or money for that right now! We'll get one in before we die, trust me. I'm getting my Associate of Arts degree at a community college and next fall i'm starting at a university and getting a BA in Criminology.

Pretty good stuff. Pleased to see an increase in military pressing. Next week my working max for mili will be equal to the one I 1RM'd at the start of the programme. I guess that goes for almost all of them, if they aren't already beat! T-bars were great to throw in for some upper back work and they felt pretty solid. DB cleaning was awesome, thanks to Keph for the idea of those! Deadlifting tomorrow.

    Cycle 2 Week 2 333 Deadlift 305

    Deadlifts
    Foam Rolling
    Dynamics
    135x8
    185x5
    225x3
    245x3
    275x15 ... WOW. +15lb, +2 reps. Compare to 260x13.

    Video

Stretched and called it there. I added 15 more lbs to what I had it at last week, and I still f***ing smashed it. This is awesome, really. That brings out about 415 on the calculator, which is even more exciting. I doubt I could pull that much at the moment cause that calc obviously isnt 100%, but that's the highest number i've ever gotten with it I think. I suppose i'll add another 10-15 for next week's 5-3-1! Just gonna keep on truckin', I haven't felt this great for a year. Really surprised at how my back is holding up, too. Even with all these high rep deads and squats and fully arched bench the only pain i'm really getting is just spinal erector soreness. I get some tweaks every now and then, but it hasn't felt this good for a couple years. Cheers mates!

REALLY good to hear how well your back is holding up and how great you're feeling these days. You deserve that, buddy.

Great millies. The angle looks like you're not locking them out but I know you are. I can picture how it looks and why it looks like that with that angle. That's solid to increase weight AND reps from last week! You're looking bigger these days too, eh? Definitely filling out.

275x15 is unreal! Yeah, the calculators aren't that accurate, but it's a great way to track your progress. If you haven't seen 415 before, then that counts for something! Honestly, watch the first rep of 275 again. You can't possibly tell me 30 lbs more (305) is your working max! Screw 10-15 more lbs, you should increase it by 40 lbs, lol. You honestly could get away with doing that, but for now, without jumping the gun, increase it 20-25 lbs. You hit 15 reps in a triples week!

I think you need to up your deadlift weight significantly. 15 reps on week 2 is way too high IMO. Impressive nonetheless though!

Keef - Thx d00dz. Yeah the backs feelin swell as of late. I'm pretty sure I don't lock out my mili's 100%, but i'd give em 95%. Sometimes when I lock out the tendonitis in my elbows makes me almost puke cause it hurts so bad. You think I look bigger?? *blush* Thanks mate Bah I'll throw on another 20 lbs or so for this friday then!! Lolfest, this dead strength is coming from nowhere.

M1 - Thanks for dropping by and your input, brotha.
