    Vain - Looked easier than it was, man. I maybe had one more in me. I will start working on my Bachelor of Arts and Minor in Criminology/Spanish, respectively, after my summer internship. That'll take two years at the University.

    Flynner - Thanks mate! Well sir, the US Government is made up of a bunch of large "Departments" that are spread out and take care of different things for our country. We have the Department of Justice, the Department of Agriculture, Department of Defense, and tons more. The one I've landed an internship for is the Department of State, which takes care of all the the United States' foreign affairs. The Diplomatic Security Agency is a branch within the Dept. of State, and that agency is responsible for all of the security measures within the Dept. My profession (hopefully) will be a Special Agent within the DSA, which would allow me to literally travel the WORLD. 75% of a Special Agents career is spent overseas taking care of counterterrorism, protecting dignitaries, securing embassies and whatnot. My dream job if I could ever think of one!!!

    Bench f***ing sucked ass, I don't know what's going on with it. Not too worried about it I guess but damn. I've been eating like **** so naturally I shouldn't have expected a good top set. Chins were great though, surprised myself with how many I could do with full ROM.

    And done. Great lifting, nothing much to say! Think my buddy and I are going to go with the Olympic Weightlifting instead of boxing. I've always wanted to do it and the coach is GREAT. I think if I put enough work into it I could move some pretty good numbers with the C&J and Snatch over time. Still not going to quit doing Squats, Deads and Bench though, that's for sure!!!!!!!

    Those high rep deads really start to become killer once you start getting up there in weight...335 x 9 is NO JOKE either....that is awesome! Congrats on the PR too!

    Damn, I'd love to hit 250 x 4 for bench. But I hear ya. I always compare myself to myself too, and get pissed when myself wins, haha.

    I used to do cardio like that too...always shooting for faster times...steeper inclines...faster speeds, etc....ah the good ol' days. I might start hitting the cardio hard again one day soon. Maybe this journal can be my motivation.

    Holy shnikeys. A +30 lb PR for squats, which used to be my worst lift EVER. Feeling great on these and it was a solid rep with good depth and pretty okay form. Feel great to have gained a 30 lb PR on this lift.

    OMG. This was so insane. I seriously love this.... i'm glad I started! Just doing this 2-3 days a week is going to make me so much stronger! These lifts are cool as hell, and the trainer is awesome. He really knows his stuff, and there are tons of super-knowledgeable people in there lifting that are happy to help out. Glad I joined this - won't be a mistake!!!

    Great deadlift!!! Really was hoping to pull more, but that was just about my max for sure. Form was great and it was definitely a clean lift. Was hoping for at least 425 lbs or so, but it seems that I'm better at repping higher with lower weight than lower reps with higher weight. Either way i'm happy I snagged a PR! HUGE week for me. Sorry to everyone I haven't been in journals... I've been internet-less for the past 8 days!

    A 30 lb. squat PR, 10 lb. DL PR, and you match your bench PR, all in one update. Great work jed, seems like doing some oly sparked some sort of fire in you. If you're keeping score that's a 1040 total, very impressive.

    Hell yeah Kill, it was a great week indeed man!!!! Thanks for the words! Yeah Bor, this Olympic room is for real. Only KG plates in there, bro. I had been doing deads on the single outside platform (outside as in in the general weightlifting area) but the platform had dents in it. I much prefer this olympic room over the other platform. Prolly gonna have a lot of KG lifts from now on bro, but when the weight starts getting respectable (like when we stop doing 40-50 reps for form) i'll start posting conversions.

    Massage, decompress, stretch.

    Solid cleaning and jerking... I think that if I hadn't done all of those reps before trying for 1RM's I could have hit 102-105 KG or so. The pull and flip was there, but the catch kept failing. Definitely think I could've jerked it, but had to clean it first. I was told to 1RM after I had done all those sets for reps. A ton more work needs to be put in for form of power clean and the jerking. Snatch is leaps and bounds away from even being halfway decent form, this lift is ridiculous. Massive amounts of respect for anyone who has good-great snatch form.

    Tough as nails, another ~3 hour workout. Front half squats are brutal, especially starting off of the pins for the first rep. Trying to squat that dead weight from a near-paralell position is tough! Muscle snatch is feeling better... I need to keep working on hips and shrugging the catch instead of swinging it. Push press was not easy at all... My shoulders were and are SO fried. This was yesterdays workout, today is the day off.

    Olympic workout volume seems so crazy, but I'm sure your coaches know what they're doing. Nice work jed. I am sure it helps to have a team working out around you for support and camaraderie.

    Pretty good workout. Drop snatch is pretty cool and tough as hell! Still just here to pound the reps out lately. My body hasn't felt this beat up since the first time I started lifted in 7th grade. I can feel this stuff doing good for me! Once I get more into shape i'll start throwing in bench once a week and other lifts - still like to hit that stuff up.

    Here is a video of a 50 KG power snatch. Form is getting better but far, far, far from even "good". Knees are not locking out, pulling too soon, elbows are bent, upper back rounds, chest collapses on 2nd pull....... tons of things to think about. You think about one thing and sacrifice it for another thing, so it seems like a neverending cycle of at least one or two things going wrong every attempt. Either way, I still love the challenge. Got frusterated as f*** today with snatch - the lift is a devil. Jerks were solid says coach, felt solid too. Got very sick last night also, plugged nose, sore throat, cough and trouble breathing. Didn't help the workout today.

    I see you have embraced the garish style of oly lifting. Nice orange shirt and bright blue shorts, lol. Even nicer work on the snatch and c&j. All the thinking is a big reason why I've never been interested in oly, but I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Get over that cold soon bud, sore throats especially are the worst.
