The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

indubitably. i wish they wouldnt have taken away journal post counts or else i'd be considered a veteran. they shud atleast have a section under the normal post count called journal posts or something... then ranks like 'journal groupie, journal whore' etc hahah!

I'm friends with most of them. I actually had the book the place gives you with most of the exercises they make you do but I think it's in my attic. When I get time I'll post the different stuff they do for you or PM it.

And if you think sub 11s are fast... take a trip down to FL where 10.6s are common.

Good job on the PR's man. You got 295 probably next time you attempt.

As for the injury, the fibula isn't a weight bearing bone, so I don't think it's something that would be irritated so much through running. But only you know your body. If you feel the pain isn't something that's normal then you should go to an ortho and have an X-Ray done. It's possible that your bone didn't heal properly. But wait, I just re-read over what you posted. Are you saying your broke your fibula in the past or you're just getting pains in that area now? It's possible you could just have shin splints... but I'm assuming you already know that isn't what you have and where the fibula is in your leg so you've ruled that out. Anyway, go see a doctor, normally one of those guys can fix the problem

...interesting day of maxing. tested 40's and 10's first.

40 : first attempt : 4.66... second attempt : 4.70... third attempt : 4.69... personally, i think it's bull-freaking-****. no way in hell my 40 went from 4.94 to 4.66 in one week. as much as i'd like to beleive it, i dont. either the timing sucked (handheld) each time or Olson marked it for like 38 yards instead of 40. kinda disappointed cuz i'd love to know my real 40 time, but dont wanna spend $190 for a football camp just for that. i'll average the two... 4.94+4.66\2=4.80 flat. reasonable?

10 yard sprint : first : 1.34... second : 1.45... i guess i'll take 1.34, i did feel like i was flying on that. beat everyone else on the team with that one.

    incline : 135x3, 155x1, 175x1, 185x1, 205x1, 220x1... cool i guess haha.

    hang clean : 135x3, 185x1 lol. ***** hang clean!

I think you'd be fine if you just say you were clocked at 4.66 but you're not sure of the accuracy. Who knows, the time might be correct. It's no less accurate than arbitrarily averaging that and your 4.94 time. How sure are you that 4.94 was accurate?

    Good lifting and sprinting.

Dude, you realize when most kids talk about their 40 time its a handheld time which is almost always off. You might as well claim it as your 40 time but just not that it was done by stopwatch. Maybe 4.7 sounds more reasonable..?

haha thanks coke kill and dblock - i guess u have a point. idk how close the 4.94 was, but i KNOw it was further, cuz EVERY SINGLE persons time was less this time around. i guess i'll claim it has 4.7... i just know that 4.66 is college level speed and just unreal for me, atleast for right now. i just hate to cheat myself or talk about a 4.66 and then actually get tested and get a 4.9 again.

    10 yard backpedal : 2.18 haha... lame

pro agility : 5.11... olson said last week may have been innacurate so ill go with this.

    power clean : 135x3, 185x1, 205x1, 225x1 flew, 245x0, 245x0, 235x1, 240x1... stayed same as current max. wutever.

sposed to push press btu i didnt bother. didnt want to aggrivate cuff.
