The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thats awesome, im pretty jealous. My dad and uncle have harleys and they are all for me getting anything to ride with them but my money situation just isnt working out right now.

How come you only have the permit? Is it because you are 17 or is there something different in iowa. I think all I have to do to get my motorcycle license is go in and take a written test and a driving test (OR the msa safety class counts as the driving test). I would have stayed away from the highway for a while tho, thats pretty brave haha.

Hey big guy looking good in here. That is some serious benching man. You gonna go for a 1rep max soon? I know I cant bench 225 that many times and If I can hit 285 your probably good for a lot more buddy! Way to keep the squat form ace too. Be careful on your bike mang, I work with people every day who come in for rehab with some pretty serious injuries from laying down their bikes or getting sideswiped or other things. Keep up the good work bro!

Damn, nice benching. Getting ever closer to that 225x10. I'll bet two more sessions and you'll nail it. Nice job, bro. Getting strong! Nice squat work too. I am having a little bit of knee movement in my squats too. Just gotta focus on those damn knees I guess. Cool deal about the bike license! Gonna be the regular Bad-Ass on the team this year Is this your upcoming senior year or junior? At any rate, you're probably gonna have to start looking into some colleges soon, eh?

pulse - thats awesome, i hope you can manage to scrounge up a bike soon! well i don't think i could have passed the riding test at the DMV so i just took the MSF course and learned a crap load and alon w/ that i got to skip the DMV riding test. and i passed the written gettin my permit so i dont need that for my license.

indiff - thanks brother. i might try for one soon, idk though. depends how tomorrow goes. if i can manage to hit 9 or 10 if im lucky tomorrow, then ill try for one either that day or next week. dont worry bro i will be careful no doubt! MSF teacher taught us how to lay it down goin 60 to prevent high siding so that should help if that ever needs to be done

K - thanks homeslice. i cant wait to hit 225x10, thatll be a good day. haha i try to be badass, not sure if it works all the time though this is going to be my senior year, sadly. yes i have been looking into colleges for education purposes. i dont plan on getting a scholarship worth anything, but if i do get one worht a good amount of money i may take it so long as it has the necessary academic courses i'll need to get my major or whatever. right now im thinking community college to university of northern iowa, they have a super Athletic Traning program which i can get started with this year (job shadowing on their nationally ranked football teams sideline )

edit : grrrrrr. drove 30 miles to get my license only to be told i needed a parent with me to sign a consent form. although my dad signed one 7 days ago to get my permit, we need an all new one for my license and he has to be there *in person* this time. f**kers.

uh oh. i did it. it wasnt easy, or pretty. but i did it.

bench : 135 warmup, 185x3, 225x3, 225x10... damn. i got 9 solid clean reps, 10 slowed down at halfway and hit the bench rack, spotter pushed it back and then i finished. obviosuly #10 wouldnt have counted in a meet, but all he did was push it away and not pull up. i'll count it was dead after that for sure

    DB front raises : 20lb 3x10

glad i hit that benchmark. max calc says 300 but i'd be happy with 295 at the moment because that looks intimidating enough.

**** jed, you make me cry knowing how much higher your bench is than mine. Maybe i'll just go play in traffic with a blindfold on or something.

Seriously though dude, that bench is getting SICK! And you thought your chest was your weak point

Great work man. I think I'm going to have to go for a 225 rep max to see if I can keep up with you.
