Wow...thats a nice front squat! I have not nailed down that form...the most I've been able to do the other way (arms crossed) was 225ish..maybe 235. My shoulders started hurting at that point so I sorta stopped that.

haha im sure i could only do like 205 or 215 now... i wanna try a 1RM soon for front squat but meh... i think ill live for a while. yeah for some reason my form for cleans has always been good even right when i started to lift, so thats helped with my grip. maybe try putting a towel underneath it? idk =\

Hey man, no problem. Im a loser and like to figure out problems like the one you ran into with your split.

Keep on eatin! Im currently on a cut and very unhappy about it, but I should be seeing a big ass six pack in about 4-6 weeks. Once that happens, its bulk time baby! All the way to 220 and hopefully around 10%

    Good luck!

Cool deal about trying out a different routine. To answer your question from my journal, I wouldn't say stretching is the most important thing you can do, however it does help prevent shortenning of the muscles and tendons. It basically realigns the tissues and lets them heal more correctly. If you don't stretch (this is me), you will build up annoying scar tissue and "knots" in the muscles that can eventually lead to tears and other problems. Can you lift and make gains without it? Absolutely. Should you stretch after lifting, absolutely. I just always forget to stretch because it has never been part of my routine.

Nice work on those deads. Gettin up there with the weight and reps. Small increases in the weight on successive sets of deads, like you did, is killer. Also, what the **** are you doing stuffing your face with little-debbie ****? You need to NOT do that. What is going to happen is you will gain some nice weight, however you'll be left with more fat than you want and it will be with you well until you're through with college my friend. Take it into a small calorie surplus and keep your meals below 800 cals. If you need more calories, just eat 5-6 times a day. I can't imagine you need more than 4000 cals to gain muscle, but who knows. Also, the sugar in those little debie snacks is not gonna do **** for adding more muscle. You'd be better off slamming milk and peanut butter. Just my 2 cents.

K - thanks a bunch for the post. you already changed my mind about the sweets - lol! but i usually eat 2 boxes a week, so i wont change that at all seeing as it hasnt added an ounce of fat to me yet because my superfreak metabolism. so rest assured i wont eat these 4 days in a row like i said

interesting about the stretching, thanks for enlightening me. ive never had problems with tears yet, other than my wrist which was from constant beating on from football. but i try to stretch whenever i remember!

and hey, K, does when i take my creatine / whey mix matter? i usually take it with supper, 2-3 hours after i lift.

Man, 2 boxes a week? I haven't had a little debbie snack in like 4 years, lol. If I ate 2 boxes a week I would definitely grow another chin and a nice tire around my waist. Glad you can get away with it...for now Stretching...****...I knew I forgot to do something after tonight's workout. I forgot once again :/

I don't have any experience with Creatine so I can't help you too much on that other than this: your growth and progress in whatever you are trying to achieve is majorly dependent on your workouts, diet and sleep habits. Anything else thrown into the mix, such as Creatine, vitamins, etc. will have a very marginal impact on this. The time of day that you choose to use such supplements has an even smaller impact on your progress. So, take them when it is convenient to you, bro; just be consistent if you do take anything. For me, I usually have a whey shake in the morning, one a couple hours before I hit the gym and sometimes one after dinner. Nothing crazy, just a scoop of whey, or about 18g protein. Most important "supplement" you can probably take, which I think a lot of people forget, is water. Try getting a gallon of water in on a training day and you might see some amazing **** with your strength and energy - instantly. Do me a favor and don't get too caught up in all the supplement bull**** out there. A person can drive their self crazy with how much of what and when and how often they should be taking all that ****. You're doing great, bro, just be patient and the things you want to accomplish will fall into place.

dont worry man - do NOT worry about me and supps! i have been taking creatine mono and whey for years now and thats the ONLY thing i have ever bought none of this 'super pump x500 turbo!' **** or anything. if i'd waste money on that crap i would spend it on test, hgh or AAS and not that bullsh1t. nothin to worry bout there if it makes u feel better i just ate a pb sandwich, 2 cups milk and 2 cheese sticks
