    indy - thanks bro. i wouldnt recommend adding weight until you can do at least two sets of ten, but im not one to give advice as im always seeking it! try the handstands bro, their great!

    Aww, I love you too Jeddy! Just to let everyone know, jed's first name is Jordan and he wants everyone to call him by this.

    5x5, 3x8, etc. So long as you're able to increase reps/weight and consume a surplus of calories. If you really want, I can send you a more advanced bodybuilding routine (Dogg Crapp), I have the entire outline and details of it in an email that I can send you. Or I could even send you what Phil Hernon, the IFBB Pro that's training me, gave me for my program.

    and FYI, i am gonna try DC training after i finish this plan april 1. buddys doin it (gage) and says its psychotic. watched the video w/ justin harris and it looks crazy.

    I never really said you're doing something wrong, I just didn't think you'd be confused about this type of stuff considering your strength.

    The program he gave me is for putting on size, yes, but there's a lot more to it that you need to focus on. Mainly diet which you probably won't be able to do until you move out on your own where you're cooking all your meals and tracking everything. But I can send you just the program if you want. It's 3 days on, 1 day off, BTW.

    Whatever you want. It doesn't need to be complicated. What do you enjoy and look forward to more? Is 5x5 boring to you? I find straight sets boring which can send my mental focus out of whack. Do something you like that keeps you interested. You'll make better progress from something that keeps you motivated and fun rather than a "scientifically proven set/rep scheme".

    5x5 gets boring, yes, but ive seen progress so far so i have no problem with it. i think i'd rather perform somehting like 8 7 6 or 10 8 6 or something. i like higher reps because i dont like to leave a workout feeling nothing in my muscles, and small reps dont give me that feeling. DC also has sparked an interest after the video, and i know for sure ill feel something from that. for now though this 5x5 has taken me from the slums of 215x1 up to 265x1 on bench, and i think im actually seein progress physically too. but maybe on bench next time ill try a 8 6 4 or something? idk help me out

    Well if you're getting progress from something, you shouldn't really change it, but in your situation, you've already benched 295 so these strength gains you're seeing now should be failry easy to achieve because of your PB. You could be getting them from a pyramid style of 10-8-6, too. You're increasing your strength as it is so you don't really need much help.

    okay then. yeah i know ive already hit em before, but i wanted this program just to get my strength gains back, as well as hitting my weak spots along the way. so i think its doing its purpose so far. we'll see when april rolls around what i'll start next.

    WOWOWOWOW!!!!! huge day today. definitely broke through on my deads i think. just wait to see this!!!!

    DeAdLiFt!!! : 135 warmups... 225x10, 275x8, 295x6, 315x4.... wow. dont ask me where any of that came from. these felt spectacular! i could of got 275 for 10 even... i am officially in love with deadlifting barefoot, it helps me so much. my form feels so much better than where i started - thanks to all of you. this deadlift session was definitely a confidence booster... getting closer to my 315 5x5 goal!

    mili press : 135 5x5... surprising too. +7 reps from last week...

    pullups : BW 6x5.

    lying delt raise : 15's 4x8. these always feel good.

    anyways, a great workout today all in all. glad to be seeing improvement on my deads especially!

    Super day jed! Some quality deadlifting there, way to pull (literally) out all the stops man. Have you tried pulling in some chucks as opposed to barefoot? They're pretty cheap, flat, and theyd give you at least some support on your feet.

    wow, another great workout today. hit a huge 'bench'mark

    bench : 135x10, 185x3, 205x3... uh oh... 225 5x5!... holy moses, whered this come from? don' ask me. this is HUGE guys. yall have no idea. actually im sure most of you do. BIG for me, wtf??!!?!?1//1/231d./asd.1 rlfk

    BW dips : 4x fatigue, i'd say 14, 15, 12, 10

    supine rows : 4x10... these were nice for a change

    side laterals : 15's 4x8

    BW update : 185, no change. need to eat if i want to even get close to 200 by april.

    anyways, glad i hit that today. i think 225 5x5 is close to what i was at when i was doing 295 even, so im glad it happened. it was odd though... i dont think i could of done 225 for any more than 6 reps on any set, but i could manage a 5x5 with it each time. weird. 4th set was close, almost needed help on last rep. then the last set was as easy as set 2 and 3, which was odd but ill take it!!

    edit : oh, and i guess it looks like i broke one of my goals too soon... wanted 225 5x5 on bench by april 1. i still dont think i can hit the 285 1rm, but maybe 275. instead of 225 5x5 now, i'm going to aim for 225x15, haha! tons of reps for that, but who cares it'll be fun to try.

    Jed...nice ****ing work lately, bro. You've been just crushin it! You should be very proud of those deads and that bench. Like I keep tellin ya, you're gonna be just a beast if you keep this **** up. 405 is next on the Deadlift list as is 315 on that bench. Goals for April are looking outstanding. As for the 5x5, 3x8 or whatever you are interested in to get huge, it doesn't matter. What matters is how much effort you put into any one of those training methods. If you train with 100%+ intensity and focus, you will get where you want to go. That's the real secret. Find the program that allows you to open up and let out the intensity within, follow? Keep smashin those PRs, bro.
