You need to go heavier. 15 on pullovers is not enough. Try it with a 60. Try it with a 45lb plate (I find that depending on how my wrists are rotated, it will determine if my lats get hit or not).

Also, I dont ever feel a pump in my lats just so you know. They only seldom hurt with DOMS

Ohhh I see your problem. Dont put dumbells in each hand. pick one, and grab it with both hands. That way your not focusing on the stabilizers so much, and you can focus on contracting your lats or whatever. Try it with a 45lb plate.

Damn its getting busy in here again. Awesome stuff on that 375 pull back on the 9th, bro. You got a good belt to wear for that stuff? What felt like it started to "bend" with the DL?

And 280 on your bench? Sounds like you've almost got that thing back to where it was when you hit your 295 last year. Feels good doesn't it? Feels even better when you know you're stronger than some other point in your life when you thought you were doing pretty well.

Must we disguss your latissimus dorsi woes again? lol, seriously though, I think you are forgetting that there is no way to isolate the lats. By human physiology, that is a muscle that only works in conjunction with the movement of arms. You've got lats, bro. And they are strong. Otherwise, you could not do anything requiring you to pull the arms into the body, stablize those monster bench presses or deadlift anything off the floor. It is very possible that you feel it in your arms instead of your lats simply because your lats can take a bigger beating than your arms. Just keep rolling with your routine, you will be a monster, mark my words.

    thanks for the support coke.

borracho - haha thanks man. i think my old PR is 290 instead of 295 for some reason, but w/e! i am 186 atm. gaining.

K - thanks. yes theres a belt in the weightroom that i like to use. the bend was like from pulling off the floor my lower back gave in a little, to about 75% then my form went back to normal. it wasnt huge, but couldve been improved. if u didnt understand that lemme know, its kinda hard to explain. thanks for the info and support about the lats. nice to know for sure.

workout was nice today. small but solid. biceps are TOAST from yesterdays back work, lol.

squat : 135 warmup, 185x20... i know, thats weak, but it was great. im gonna try supersquats to boost my squat up. im not 'oly' squatting anymore, but my legs reach paralell for sure, if not more, and my stance is a little bit wider. about 3 or 4 inches outside my delts.

    incline bench : 135x10, 145x8, 155x6

    handstand pushups : x7, x7, x6... weak from incline

weighed 186, highest in a while.

185x20 is pretty damn solid, dude. The most I've done is 175 or so and that's when I was squatting 330.

For sure man! Those 20 reps @ 185.... ouch!

Strangely, I find that 11 to 15 are the hardest reps (mentally more likely). Killer exercise.

    Great stuff all round.

Nice squats jed. Race ya to 200lbs BW. I did lots of back work yesterday. I did: weighted chins, pullovers, 1 arm bb rows, and closegrip bench and my lats are damn sore today. Give it a try and see how you feel.

Getting nutty with the 185x20 on those squats. Takes some real mental fortitude to get 20+ squats with your BW on your shoulders. No doubt your biceps were crushed after all that back work. See, I told you your arms were the weak link in the pull chain and not your lats (have you seen your avatar? Those are lats, lol).

thanks K. but man, my arms are way too big for my body. they arent my weak point. unless you meant something else.

good workout today. kinda mixed it up - lost my routine. workout took forever tho.

    BB mili : 135x5, x8, x8, x5

DB pullovers : 35 3x10. these felt better dan, thanks.

deadlift : 135 warmup, 225x5, x1, 315 3x5. gettin closer to the 5x5 mark. the reps werent 10000% perfect form cuz they were hard, but clean enough. scraped the shins good today

    supine rows : bw x10, +25 2x8. meh.

    rear delt raises : 15 3x10

    weighted calves : 225 3 sets
