The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Common problem?

    Hi all,

It's been awhile since I started a thread, so why not make it a weird one? As I've been bulking, I have noticed the ROM in my arm is getting worse. This problem is not due to flexibilty but simply because my forearm and bicep interfere with each other.

My concern isn't really the ROM - it only gets in the way a tiny bit sometimes. I'm more concerned that this means my arm is reaching its genetic limit soon. Thoughts?

I think it would be very difficult to know your genetic limits unless youve been training for 10+ years consistantly.

Generally, if you read a piece of advice on the internet, assume it's wrong until proven otherwise. This applies especially to "conventional wisdom". -Belial

Way down this road, in a gym far away, a young man was once heard to say, "I've repped high and I've repped low, No matter what I do my legs won't grow."

He tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses, too. Trying to cheat these sissy workouts he'd do. From the corner of the gym where the big men train, Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain.

Where the big iron rides high and threatens lives, Where the noise is made with big forty fives. A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees, A very big man with legs like trees.

Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack, Chalking his hands and monstrous back, Said "Boy stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, Trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN"

    Wish i had your problem.

I dont think that means you're getting close to achieving your genetic limits, it just means you're getting big lol.

Cool. I was just thinking that in order to grow from top to bottom, the arm may need more room from side to side - or something! Overall I'm just looking to get bigger, but if this means my arms are going to lag it would upset me a little is all.

Hahaha - I'm assuming that's due to excessive a$$? That's awesome. Sounds like cut time to me too!

I'm happy that my arm has developed reasonably well over the past 9 months, but I've got a long way to go! Thanks though... wish I had your back!
