The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Atlas Weighted Dip Belt - How Much WT?

    Does anyone know the maximum weight that can be loaded onto a Nylon Atlas Weighted Dip Belt? I am currently using 135 pounds for Tricep Dips, but I know my belt will accomodate another plate. Will the chain link on this belt be able to hold 180 pounds or should I seek out another belt? I haven't seen any maximum weight limits advertised for any of the weighted dip belts out there. Thanks - Jeff

    I know the maximum weight on the quicklinks is around 315lbs (usually used to clip chain back to belt). I would imagine the nylon and the quicklinks would be the weakest part of the belt.

    Height: 6'2
    Weight: 195 (01JAN09)
    B/F: 11%
    Goal Weight: 210
    Starting weight: 150 (10/1/04)

    Thanks. I should be fine then as I don't think the chain is long enough to come close to accomodating 315 pounds worth of weights - As if I could even use that much!

    Haha, I have one of those (same brand and everything). It bothers the hell out of me because it's not adjustable and I'm too skinny ;_;
