    Fastest Growing Muscle Group

Ok, this has probably been talked about on this board before. But my question is, has anyone else noticed that one muscle group of theirs seems to grow a lot faster than the rest? This is probably all genetics. But for me, my triceps grow in strenght a lot faster than any other muscle group on my body. I've used three different workout routines for them and i still get great results on all of them.

    Any others experiencing this?

Not to hijack the thread, but what are you currently doing for chest? What's your routine?

As a follow-up to this, what have people done to bring up their lagging parts?

    I'll start with mine:

    * delts needed higher reps, a little more volume, and time. Arnies ss with side laterals were hugely beneficial.

    * Quads required a change to front squats, higher reps, longer tempos, and more volume overall.

    * I grew my poor little lats with BGB, loaded passive stretches and a couple of block specializations.

How about the others here - any of you manage to overcome lagging bodyparts?

Although some of your language is soaring over my head as you read this, and I still don't know what "side laterals" are, BGB definitely helped me. Adding volume as a whole to my back, especially my lats (including adding negs), has helped.

My traps are still pathetic so I'm adding hang cleans and shrugs to help. We'll see what happens factoring in the most important and invariable element: TIME.

biceps- more work and more volume, through the years ive neglected them a lot and built myself to push for football, and they kinda got the back burner for to my triceps, now im giving them a lot more focus and three days a week in each day i hit them with somthing a bit different

calves - always have been strong but just stubborn, im experiemtning with new intensity techniques and see how they work, im also adding more focus to them, giving them 4 days of attention

forearms are actually beginign to grow so im doing tomething right there, by tjust limiting my strap usage

my chest and my biceps have been my slowest growing muscle, all others seem to grow at about the same pace.

My back seems to have grown phenomenally. But my grip strength seems to get stronger the quickest.

For me arms and back in general.
My grip strength has also increased quite quickly. Gotta love the deadlift.

    My butt is small.
I also feel my pecs are small.
I've been squatting more often, and it seems like my butt is looking better. I can actually flex it and see!

As for my pecs, I widened my bench grip a lot. It's been hitting my pecs much better. I haven't felt them hit like this in a long time.
My grip before I believe was hitting my triceps more than my bench. 210 for reps the old way, and just getting up to 185 with the wide grip. Should be better in the long run, and maybe I'll be able to bench more.

Weightlifting sucks. I just like to lift heavy things.

for me the fastest are basically everything except back width. i can get/have good size on basically everything even back thickness but can't for the life of me get any sort of back width whatsoever, probably one of the most frustrating things i've experienced.

just watch out for making it too wide, it can get dangerous/bad on the shoulders.

For me, thighs, ass, and traps grew the quickest when I started lifting heavy and consistently.

I think it obviously has a lot to do with exercise selection, but for beginners using a comprehensive lifting program that hits all muscles, I've noticed that most peoples traps seem to grow quicker than anything, followed by legs.
