    funny deadlift question...guys only

    hey guys,

    got a quick serious question.

does the bar ever hit your shlong when you are deadlifting? when i finish a rep the bar always bumps me and its annoying.

maybe i should wear some briefs to keep everything in place.

I guess if it hits you there, it hits you there. I try to pull it a little away from my body at the top of the movement so it doesn't do that, otherwise I'd be crushing myself.

You must have relatively short arms (or I have long arms). The bar is low enough below my groin to where it's not a problem.

    haha...nothing to brag about.

must be my arms are too short like guido said.

i dont think i can swing out the weight a bit to avoid it. my wife laughs when she sees me trying to prevent it from happening.

It's really that big of a problem? Maybe wear a cup or wear boxer-briefs?

Arms too short? I highly doubt that. I have the same issues.. It can hurt. Ive already complained about it in my journal

Anyways, My cousin who I work out with is about 6'2 with long arms and he faces the same trouble as I do.

So maybe it is something to brag about

You can do what I do though. I try to wear fairly loose pants so you can kind of put the bar underneath it. See if that helps.

They need to invent a bar that has a dip type curve in the middle like on an EZ curl bar.

    Bar -----\/-----

No need to tuck that way.

You know when I first started training it always tapped my tackle but now it does not.

Either old age is shrinking my boys or I have grooved it do I do not hit my jewels anymore.

I used to have the issue myself.

I think I've adjusted my form subconciously to stop hitting my junk.
