The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

If a soph can bench 315, he has my respect, I'm only 160 and my current max is 150. Your a beast.

    I don't think I will tho.

    No, it will not.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei

That explains it. I thought you were my specs. I wouldn't leap up to 500 from 475...try 480, if u get it, try 485....gradually increasing by 5 lbs untill you can get the rep. But make sure you warm up properly.

    200x6, 250x4, 275x3, 300x2, 315x1. Maybe. If you struggle with 300x2, then try 305 - 310 for max.

The under armour isn't going to help your bench. Sorry.

Damn 295 hang clean is pretty impressive. I thought I was getting up there when I repped 155 about 5 times (Started doing them at 115 about 5 months ago). Do you stay in good form when you did 295 I notice that If i move my feet when I pull the weight and just do everything I can to get the bar up I can do a lot more. I try to keep everything stable now though, don't know your views on what is better.

A tight shirt could help you in two ways, (1) you'll appear bigger and this may in some way provide you with extra mental motivation, (2) it may in some way build up some hydrostatic pressure that'll help stablize your shoulders/chest. Realistically, a tight shirt will not significantly impact your lifts.

depending on how tight it might be a hindrance...if it in any way restricts circulation I would think (complete speculation) that it would cause less blood flow and therefore less strength...
