ok ive got max outs at my school tomorrow for football...im a soph and im goin for 315...a random question here, would wearin an under armour compression shirt affect the weight of my bench?
i will respond do your question with another question:
do you plan what you will be wearing to the gym the day before?
i was wonderin if it would help my bench....unlike your doin by postin that
umm as far as i can tell no. and your a sophmore and bench 315 damn. good job. how much do you weigh?
If a soph can bench 315, he has my respect, I'm only 160 and my current max is 150. Your a beast.
I don't think I will tho.

No, it will not.
Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
"You're wrong, and I have a completely irrelevant pubmed abstract that may or may not say so." - Belial
I has a blog.
I has a facebook.
thanks for the replies guys here are my specs
lil over 6'2
max outs for football are tomorrow and tuesday i would like to hit 315 on bench...i already got 305 last friday for light singles.... and 500 on the squat. thats iffy but i hit 475 without too much trouble
That explains it. I thought you were my specs. I wouldn't leap up to 500 from 475...try 480, if u get it, try 485....gradually increasing by 5 lbs untill you can get the rep. But make sure you warm up properly.

what is a good warmup for bench maxouts?
200x6, 250x4, 275x3, 300x2, 315x1. Maybe. If you struggle with 300x2, then try 305 - 310 for max.
barx a lot
275x1 (depending on how that feels, go for..
a) 295x1... 315x1

The under armour isn't going to help your bench. Sorry.
Since when do people from Wayzata lift? Don't you have a butler for that?
Good luck on your max!!
maxed out on bench and hang clean tday....nailed 315 pretty smooth and i got 295 on the hang clean...it was epic
Good job. Gonna have to change your goals in yoiur signature now. A 295 hang clean is impressive!
Those are crazy maxes for only a sophomore in high school and 250. Im jealous. What's your max power clean?

A tight shirt could help you in two ways, (1) you'll appear bigger and this may in some way provide you with extra mental motivation, (2) it may in some way build up some hydrostatic pressure that'll help stablize your shoulders/chest. Realistically, a tight shirt will not significantly impact your lifts.
depending on how tight it might be a hindrance...if it in any way restricts circulation I would think (complete speculation) that it would cause less blood flow and therefore less strength...
Current 217lbs 6'1" 27 25% body fat
Goal 200lbs 6'1" 27(whew made it) 12% body fat
Deadlift --> 335 +10 lbs from 3 weeks ago
Squat --> 255
Squatting is a way of life
