The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

RedFury - Ya, I really need them. Thanks bud.

    Pulse - Unfortunately not .

North - Thanks man, just work on your balance and I'm sure you could do a bunch. I usually fall over at around 2-3, it's just a matter of luck though, haha.

    Nate - Thank ya, haha.

DBlock - Yup, in a power rack. Thanks.

HeavyBomber - Thanks HB, I'm still trying to get my form down on those .

Spike - Thanks dude, bands are awesome!

Lion - , ya I really should be working on that, haha. I got 15 lbs to gain.

    Deeder - Haha, thanks dude.

SupRsmall - Pistols shmistols, haha. Thanks buddy. And for the weight gaining, you can catch up, then we'll race to 165 .

Detard - Thanks man, ^^^ and speaking of racing, I'm racing you to 1,000 wether you want to or not .

    Coke - Thanks my brotha.

LiftingKid - Thanks bro, but I don't think I'm going reverse bands anymore, I didn't really like them .

    ME Squat

    Workout:

    Squats
    135 x 5
    135 x 5
    185 x 5
    225 x 5
    245 x 1
    265 x 1
    265 x 1

    Front Squats
    135 x 5
    155 x 3
    190 x 1 PR
    200 x 0

    SLDLs / RDLs... sloppy
    185 x 8
    225 x 8
    255 x 5 PR

    Wood Chops
    15 x 10/10
    20 x 10/10
    25 x 10/10
    25 x 10/10

    Thoughts:
Ughhhhh, I hate squatting so much. Why can't it be fun like bench pressing? Haha, I have no idea why they don't get stronger like my bench does. That front squat PR was very easy, but the 200 attempt just destroyed me. I'm guessing it's just a matter of keeping my form tight on the way down, because it was crap on the missed attempt. I really need to strengthen my core, so I'm gonna be doing a lot of oblique/ab stuff from now on. Plus I want a ripped up six pack . Who doesn't?

I say the exact opposite of the above. Few people are awesome at all three lifts.

    6-pack means more disciplined eating

    Pulse - I have abs... but not really a 6-pack .

LiftingKid - But I wanna be awesome at atleast two of them . And on the abs, I'm gonna see if I can't defy the laws of WBB and get 6 pack while I'm dirty bulking.

SupRsmall - I'll have to try em sometime

    Cocoa - Thanks coke.

Stumpy - Thanks bro, that's what I was thinking.

    Cirino - Thanks dude.

    Bench 'n stuff

    Workout:

    Lock-outs (pins = 14 hole)
    135 x 10
    225 x 1
    275 x 1
    315 x 1
    345 x 1 easy
    365 x miss

    Bench Press
    135 x 5
    185 x 5
    225 x 5
    245 x 2
    265 x 1

    HS Iso Wide Chest Press
    2pps x 8
    3pps x 8
    3pps x 8

Pull Ups (mgpo / slow, dead hang)
    BW x 6
    BW x 6
    BW x 6
    BW x 5

    Lat Front Pull Downs
    105 x 6
    105 x 6
    120 x 6
    135 x 6

    Straight Bar Triceps Press Down
    80 x 30
    90 x 20

Dec. Sit-Ups (slow going down, explosive going up)
    15 x 12
    15 x 12
    15 x 12
    15 x 12
    15 x 12

    Thoughts:
Dang, I messed up. One of the big rules of westside powerlifting is that you will not get stronger on the third week of ME lifting unless you change something up (something like that, but you get the idea). This is the third week in a row that I've done ME lock-outs and I didn't get stronger. I should've been smarter about it. Has anyone ever done super high rep tri extensions? Those are killer. On the abs I used a 15 lb medicine ball. Very slow negative, then explode up very fast. They were killer too. I have a video coming so be sure to check back in later .

Here's my secret weapon to help me get to 165 lbs. Also, for your enjoyment, I performed a magic trick. Watch and be amazed as a full glass of crap magically disappears within seconds . This was mainly because I was bored, haha.

Shake: 8 tbsp peanut butter, 1 1/2 cups milk, 4 tbsp olive oil, a bunch of whipped cream, 1/3 cups Pepsi, some coffee.... forgot the ice cream.

Not me, I prefer a full 6 pack so that I can drink it after training.
