The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Hey Ricky I tried one of your high calorie shakes. I put in 2 cups of icecream, 6 TBSP peanut butter and 1 cup of milk. It was really good. Tasted abit "different" than what i'm used to but it was good. How many calories are in that shake roughly?

    ME Squat

    Workout:

    Squatstsess
    135 x 5
    185 x 5
    225 x 5
    245 x 1
    225 x 5
    265 x 1
    225 x 5
    285 x 1 PR RAW
    295 x 1 PR RAW
    295 x 1
    305 x 1
    315 x 1
    325 x 0

    Rack Walk Outs
    335 x 1
    365 x 1
    395 x 1

    45 Degree Hypers
    3 sets of 12

    Decline Sit Ups & Twisties
    3 sets of a lot

    Thoughts:
Lots of squattin. I shoulda had 325 but I fubbed it up. The only thing holding me back is my weak core. I did the rack walk outs to get used to this "heavy" weight, it's kinda overwhelming right now. That's a 20 lb RAW PR by the way. I left some in the tank for next week. I put the belt on at the 265 set and the suit went on on the second 295 set. Straps down the whole time.

Try goin 8 tbsps, that's about 200 more cals right there, and it doesn't make that much of a difference in taste. And it's about 1,400. Yours was about 1,100-1,200 though.

nice squatting! Those walkouts are looking heavy too. Do you have any bands? Reverse band squats are great for getting used to a heavy load.

That's more like it! Thanks dude.

Thanks Hulk, I've been lifting for.. 3 years? I started out as a freshman who weighed 120 lbs and bench somewhere around 75 lbs. Worked out (as any kid would, not knowing anything about lifting) my whole freshman year, got strong, and then quit over the summer. Next year I worked my way back up, then quit during the summer again. Next year (this last year) I worked my way all the way back up and got to be where I am now. Powerlifting since the middle of this journal... or somewhere around there.

    CoCoa
Thanks Coke, those were my first walkouts, they're pretty crazy.

    RedSpikeyThing
Thanks Spikey! Hey, that's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'm sure doubling up my minis will give me plenty of weight to work with.

    PowerLifter87
Thaaaaank you lady who is stronger than me .

    RedFury
Thanks Red, it's the bulk!!! And I'm not sure if you were kidding, but I lol'ed. You indeed are second, barely holding off SupRsmall. LK has a comfortable lead though .

    Jedster
Jedsterrrr, thanks buddy! I can't wait to do 315!
