Well, for the past 4 weeks or so my sternum area has been killing me when I make certain movements. Pull ups are painful, laying on my chest is painful, sneezing is very painful. It also hurts when removing the bar from the rack during bench press. Decline bench is painful all the way through. Ive noticed when i stretch my back out and arch it out really high my sternum will pop. It would do this before the injury, but i dont know if this is normal or not. The first time it really hurt was when i was getting up from my chair, i was kinda thrusting myself out of the chair with my arms.
Has anyone experienced this, or know what this might be?
I plan on going to see a doctor.... but i have to motivate myself to do that!
I have experienced that. In fact I still get a sharp pain on dips. I've had the popping issue in the most recent past.
Take some time off from the gym and see what happens. If it doesn't get better then see a doc.
time off = hell
i knew thats what the response was going to be.... i SOOO dont want to do it tho!

Your overall health is more important than a small break from the gym. You don't want to make things worse.
