    High metabolism stopping fat?

    I love making newbie threads but i like asking random questions haha

    Anyways, i've tried alot of stuff like eating a **** load without lifting... why aren't i even putting on weight?

    I've been told my metabolism is very very high and everything i eat just doesn't go on me... whats up with that?
    I'm not very tall and don't weigh enough but if im eating as much as i can... i seriously can't eat anymore! Why isn't fat even going on me?
    I know if i lift loads i will grow in strength and muscle but im just a bit confused here... haha.

    It's got to the point where people are asking what i do because i eat all the time and they're asking where it all goes. I just say im lucky...

    The doctor said if im like this now my metabolism will slow down soon enough but he said unless i eat **** all day everyday i wont be fat all my life... At the moment i eat alot of fruit and good carbs/fats and probably around 120g of protein a day (4000 calories average a day) I don't eat crap.

    There are people on these boards who are packing down 6,000-10,000 calories daily. If 4,000 isn't cutting it, I think you know what needs to be done.

    Hi Negi, I'm in the almost same height and weight as you. Just buy some tubs of peanut butter and eat that and make sandwhiches out of it. 4,000 isn't that much.

    And unless you are tracking you might not be eating 4000 cals.

    When trying to gain mass, people tend to over-estimate what they eat. Conversely, when trying to burn fat people under-estimate what they eat.

    Thats why fitday is great. It keeps you in check (well as long as you enter everything you eat)

    unless you actually have tracked your calories at one point, your guess could be horribly off.
    and if it isnt, you can make shakes that have tons of calories by adding in olive oil. a very easy way to add 1000 calories to your current total.

    Yeah i always take into count the ammount of calories i eat... i don't like eating crap though it makes my skin look bad.

    I'd rather eat healthy and gain weight then bulk dirty and pay the price...

    8000-10000 calories a day :O Are you serious? my stomach can't contain that much food!

    It's hard too get 4000 calories a day in at my work i only get 30min break throughout the day!
    So basicly i eat breakfast... lunch... dinner... snack. That's all i can fit in and i try for a 1000 calories each meal. I'm not aloud to eat in between or change my breaks at work. So i'm stuck!
    I've just had a job interview though cause at the moment in still studying and i work full time. This new job will give me two breaks and i can pack extra pounds on!

    Buy a blender. Make liquid shakes (Oats,fruits,protein powder,milk,nuts)
    They go down easily and are caloricly dense.

    If that doesn't do it, get a Guacamole 6 Dollar Burger combo, super-sized. That meal, is around 3,000 calories if I'm correct. A little junkfood for lunch, once a week won't kill ya.

    Poptarts also pack a lot of heat, but don't fill ya up. You could easily gobble down 8 of 'em. Those are calorie bombs.

    I agree with the Oreos comment. Those stuff are the WMD of fast metabolisms. I think just one of those, are 80 cals or something. Also, chocolate chips and donuts. You could easily pack 5,000+ calories with a hearty meal consisting of 'em.

    I know it's already been said, but you're not eating enough. There's an article somewhere about some kid who had to eat some ridiculous amount just to break the 100lbs mark. I suggest you search for it, read it, and then stop complaining.

    You don't need to dirty bulk. I'd not recommend you do that anyway. You simply need to eat...a LOT. There are some high calorie shake recipes in the Recipes section of this site. I make one at home every day that's 1,500+ calories...and it's healthy.
