Hi I am starting on Bill Starr and my gym doesnt have the machine to do weighted hypers, is there a replacement for weighted hypers as assistance work?
RDL (my favorite), GMs, SLDLs etc...
Try Good Mornings. It isn't exactly the same but that is what I substituted. I am doing the madcow version of Bill Starr's 5x5.
You can probably do reverse hypers if you have a big inflatable ball and a bench... put the weight between your feet and I guarantee it will still be hard.
All of the above are good, you could give pull-throughs a try too.
