TRAINING MONTAGE VIDEO - Post Entries Here!

After discussing the idea in this thread http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=94892 , we've decided to have a training montage video contest.

    Here are the rules:
    *DEADLINE = August 1, 2007
*Training montage must be made from training and/or contest clips you have taken yourself or in cooperation with other entrants
*Videos should be limited to no longer than 5 minutes

Right now, there aren't any planned prizes or categories, but we might have some by the time the contest deadline comes around.

PLENTY OF TIME TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY, SO GET A CAMERA, HIT THE GYM, AND GET BUSY! Have fun!
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

This is going to be great to watch unfold. I will probably use some of this stuff to show my football team before we lift! They will love it!

Awesome vid, Sensei, lots of cool stuff in there. I think I'm going to start using that lower back wall-stretch. Looks like a good idea.

I think I am going to get my FB team to make a video(I hoppe one of my players knows how to do this video stuff). I had a Soph squat 495 another 475 and a third at 425. These guys will be monsters by Sr. Year. A number DL over 500(with Straps) It would be cool to put it on film make a video and have it for the contest as well as for my guys to remember the hell they had to go through in the Wt. room. How motivated would they be to know they are going to be on a kifting site on the net!! I can't wait to tell them!

Invain- your haircut goes well with that Montage song. And your benching at the end is how most of the HS kids bench at my gym. Too funny.

Make sure you clear it with parents first Scorp. Some parents can be funny about things like that.

I had to convey how much effort I was putting into that last set,

I was completely exhausted after making that video.

sensei, thanks for the advice i didn't even think about that. I will make a permission slip for the video. It will be kind of like a highlight reel of our summer offseason.

The use of the Shot Through The Heart Remix was pretty solid, but your video would be 8x better if you replaced James as a spotter with your sister.

I'm surprised you do close-to-max and max effort bench without a lift-off sometimes. I lose at least 10lbs if I don't get one. It misaligns my shoulders and stuff.

And damn I suck at holding a camera steady!
