The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Me ? De?

I'm new to this forum and power lifting. I have no idea what ME bench or DE bench is. I checked the power lifting sticky with terms but neither is mentioned. Thanks in advance.

Maximum Effort - Lift some thing heavy for 1-5 Rep Max (RM)

Dynamic Effort - Lift something not heavy with the same amount force as your maximum effort work.

ME and DE are based on the theory that there are multiple types of strength, and each one needs to be trained to be able to generate the most power to lift heavy weights. ME trains slow, or "absolute strength". DE trains speed, or "explosive strength". There is another kind, too, which is isometric strength. Basically, all of that is the main philosophy behind the Westside style of training.
