Has anyone been successful in combining traditional weightlifting with crossfit-type exercises? The two are so different from each other that I can forsee that someone who has weightlifted for a year would still have a lot of trouble getting into crossfit because the exercises utilize the muscles in the body in a very different way. It's even possible that someone who mainly train with weights would never excell in cross-fit type exercises.
Having said that, I would still like to have the look of a cut weight lifter AND be able to train my body for explosiveness/strength-which is why I'm starting to incorporate crossfit into my workout.
It's sort of MMA athlete style training.
