The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

supplementing weightlifting with crossfit/functional strength workouts

Has anyone been successful in combining traditional weightlifting with crossfit-type exercises? The two are so different from each other that I can forsee that someone who has weightlifted for a year would still have a lot of trouble getting into crossfit because the exercises utilize the muscles in the body in a very different way. It's even possible that someone who mainly train with weights would never excell in cross-fit type exercises.

Having said that, I would still like to have the look of a cut weight lifter AND be able to train my body for explosiveness/strength-which is why I'm starting to incorporate crossfit into my workout.

It's sort of MMA athlete style training.

Look at Anthony's Journal. there is no shortage fo heavy weightlifting.

Ever tried Olympic lifting mate? If your so into 'ecplosiveness' try pulling a heavy a snatch, or evne a power snathc and clean. Olympic lifters are amongst the most explosive people.

Cross fit promotes fitness and endurance mixed with heavy function lifting, heavy squats and deads, Olympic variations. You will rarely bench on crossfit, it just aint that useful.
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.
