The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Good stuff on getting the kitchen sorted, If you don't like your kitchen - you don't cook nearly enough. My inlaws, which I seem to be living at..., fricking sucks! I don't even want to make a shake in there!

    Situps:
    bw x 10
    +20 lb DB x 10
    +30 lb DB x 10

Box squats, 14 in box, choked blues:
    *briefs*
    bar x 3
    135 x 3
    225 x 3
    275 x 2

Form was off today. Started leaning and doing my over-arch thing. Haven't squatted off a mono in a bit, once I get back into my groove of going every other week my form should shape up. Only had 5 guys so it was a bit quiet.

    Reverse hypers:
    2 plates x 10

    4 plates x 10

    Hack squat machine:
    200 x 10

    Situps:
    +30 lb DB x 10

Thanks guys. The crew I was squatting with were all 750-900 lb squatters and only went up to 4 plates, so I thought I'd stick with 3.

Yup. I need to start writing when its a PR

Not sure I've ever done a 3 board raw max, last time I did a 3 board I warmed up then put the shirt on, went 405

I could have hit 325ish today if the form was decent, the first 315 was ugly so I took it again

    Ah, good.

No big, I was just checking to make sure you were hitting PRs. Good idea on taking the same weight again for your forms sake. Leaving a little in the tank for next time isn't terrible.

    Nice volume

Cool. The only thing that seems to be stalling is my floor press, I've always been awful at them.

Last time I did them I still hit a 5 lb PR though...Should I work on these with a closer or wider grip? I usually do them somewhat close

Actually I've found the best way to get my floor press up is do close grip.

So like I'll do thumb length from the smooth for the majority of my sets and then move out to pinkie on the rings for the last set or two

Nice, I'll do these with an even closer grip than I did last time. Maybe thumb length from the smooth + a little, thats about as close as I can go without a bunch of joint pain!

    DE squat

Speed squats, 14 in box, loose briefs, good pause on the box:
    135 x 5
    225 x 2
    225 x 2
    275 x 2
    275 x 2
    315 x 2
    315 x 2
    405 x 1

Attempted to stay more upright and not sit TOO far back

    Speed pulls:
    185 x 5
    275 x 3 x 1
    325 x 3 x 1

    Stiff legs:
    185 x 8 (conv)
    185 x 8 (sumo)
    235 x 8 (conv)
    275 x 8 (sumo)

    45 degree back raises:
    BW x 12
    +25 lb plate x 10
    +45 lb DB x 10

    Leg curls:
    135 x 10
    150 x 10
    185 x 10

    Situps:
    BW x 2 x 10
    + 25 lb plate x 4 x 10

Glutes, hips, and shoulders are all pretty tender. Those blue bands are always a b***h, haha. BW is sitting somewhere around 312, last time I checked. My loose briefs are getting a bit tighter. We're re-modeling the kitchen so its been hard, a lot of eating out.

My GPA is a 3.75, stoked!
