The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

What size deadlift suit is that? Let me know if you're looking to unload it, I'm about to buy one, size might be right.

PM what you want for it if you want to get rid of it. I need to verify my measurements tonight, I think I remember that the sizing is pretty similar to the Pro Squatter, which I had a 54 in that.

I can't read the tag inside my pro squatter, its worn out, but I believe its a 56. Makes sense, the deadlift suit is a 54 and too snug.

ive found the DL and squat suits fit the same. I wear a 50 Ace squatter and a 50 king pro deadlifter (mind you, mine is conventional, but i doubt that matters for sizing).

Got a workout in today at the World Gym. They have a power room but the guy said there is a crew of 4 guys that trains in it and its only open when they're there. He said they haven't been coming that much, made me mad, LOL. Has 3 forza's, monolift, bands, chains, deadlift platform, different bars, GHR, everything. What a waste. There was a reverse hyper out on the regular gym floor though, the westside roller version.

    Reverse hypers, roller model:
    quarter x 10
    2 plates x 10
    3 plates x 10
    4 plates x 10
    4 plates x 10

    DB Bench:
    30's x 20
    50's x 5
    70's x 5
    80's x 5
    90's x 6

    Cambered bar bench:
    bar x a lot
    95 x 8
    135 x 8
    135 x 8

They had a cambered bench bar and I'd never tried it, so I did. Stuck with 135 since I had no boards, and I'd really like to be able to use my shoulders in the future

    JM press with cambered bar:
    bar x 6
    95 x 6
    95 x 6
    95 x 6

    Hammer strength rows:
    2 plates x 10
    4 plates x 10
    6 plates x 10

    Old school pullover machine:
    50 x 10
    100 x 10
    150 x 10

    Reverse pec dec:
    50 x 10
    70 x 10
    100 x 10

    DB shrugs:
    80's x 10
    90's x 10
    130's x 10

    Hammer curls:
    40's x 10
    45's x 10
    50's x 10

only 4 guys? That sucks. That's awesome that they have that, though. Nice work. The cambered bench sounds like injury excitement!

haha, I caught 20 bass out of there one night. The biggest one was prolly 16 inches, but hey, I wasn't puking over the side of a boat either.

the deepest water I've fished is Lake Cumberland (110+ feet) They have some pretty big stripers down there.

    335 x 1
    335 x 1

    GM's, raw:
    135 x 5 close stance, arched back
    135 x 5 wide stance, round back
    225 x 5 close stance, arched back

Nice work off the 4 board. I've thought about giving that setup a try as well. I may do it when I have a training partner around. Glad to hear it worked well for you.

My tri's were a little fatigued and the lockouts off the 2 board were a little slower than they should have been, other than that things went well.

Sorry about grabbing the bar.....of all people too because I hate it when someone grabs if from me....I think we are just not used to you getting stuck like that....you get much heavier though we are going to have to find someone stronger or I am going to have to get a lot stronger.

    DE Squat/dl

Speed squats, 14 in box, loose briefs that are dead:
    bar x 5
    135 x 5
    225 x 3
    275 x 3 x 2
    315 x 3 x 2

Getting things used to carrying the bar higher. Bit slower but keeping more upright will help me out in the long run.

    Speed pulls:
    135 x 5
    275 x 3 x 1
    315 x 3 x 1

    Power squats, no belt:
    4 plates x 10
    6 plates x 10
    8 plates x 10

    Reverse hypers:
    1 plate x 10
    2 plates x 10
    3 plates x 10

    DB side bends:
    75's x 10
    85's x 10
    95's x 10

Came home and pulled the sled, everything was in the grass

4 trips with 3 plates non stop

    Nice PR Lones!

I started putting these pulldowns (see vid) into my back work and have found it much easier to "pull" the bar down and stay tight on my bench. I'm think it is just the angle of the pulldown that has hit my lats different. Not really sure if you feel like that is what you need to work on, but it has surely helped me. Feel free to disregard or whatever... I am not a bench expert by any stretch of the imagination.
