The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Right back at it I see. You mentioned staying out of the shirt for 6 months, any reason for staying out that long?

Because my raw strength needs a ton of work, haha. At this point, I need to keep working on my base rather than throwing the shirt on. I'll bring up the raw stuff and worry about shirted technique when I start training for my next meet, which will most likely be the Pro/Am.

Yup! It was an awesome meet last summer, I'd be lifting beside someone of the strongest guys in the country...even on Amateur day. I think its only supposed to be 2 days next year as well.

I was just going to warm up with the full range deads, but I got a little carried away, haha. It was good though, the hardest part was the fact that they were 6 rep deads. Its literally been years since I've done anything over 5 reps when it comes to deads. They'll be good for what I'm trying to accomplish right now though. All reps were paused, no bouncing stuff.

Weights were a little screwy cause I used all Oly plates and kept throwing 25's on, because there were only so many 45's.

I was pretty surprised I was able to hold onto 345 for 6 reps with a double overhand grip with that fat bar, to be honest.

Took it kind of easy today, I'll start pushing my max effort work like I normally do next week. I'm just kind of giving my self a transition week back into my normal training. Plus, things are going to change a bit as you'll see.

The 275 was easy, but I stopped there

    Yep, nice work Lones.

Just keep things lighter for a few more weeks and more high reps and you'll be money.

Sounds about right. I traded the heavy stuff in for some volume today

Much better. Ended up going through the entire workout. Still not quite 100%, but better

Going to stick with the false grip for a few weeks and see what happens. It was a lot easier on my pecs though

That was it. Really light weights, but I was breathing hard. I'm going to cycle the weights every 3 weeks or so, so basically I'll just add every week to my squat and dead. Really, I was just looking to get adjusted to the higher reps this session.

I did the squats and deads in a single ply suit with the hip seam blown out thats at least 4 sizes too big, plus its stretched out and dead. Got 0 from it, I'll just leave it off for next time, LOL
