The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Not a bad session. Kept things light as we're squatting with the straight bar Thursday and will probably go real heavy. I'm going to start using some decent briefs with my speed work next week. That will be 12 weeks out. The ones I'm using now are 4 years old, and if they were brand new would be 2 sizes too big. They're metal too, so many of you know how those things stretch (Ryan).

Good news is I got my preds back from Ginny, she grid stitched them for me =)

Predators stretch out fairly quickly, so once you get them broken in good (they were about perfect at the pro/am...and my weight has only gone down since), you can get them grid stitched to make them last longer and hold that perfect fit, to where you get good pop out of them.

Its really just a way of making them last longer, but one can expect it to make the briefs a little bit more "gangster." I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. As my weight increases, they should work nicely

You wouldn't know would you, Mr. Raw!

Its about time for me to gear whore it up though. Sadly, there was a point in my training where I went for 8 weeks with only throwing briefs on every other week, once a week. I'll throw my bottoms on soon, so they don't get the best of me like they have before

Yeah, I could see this. When my preds fit fairly tight they lock up pretty good in the hole

Brent doesn't get stuff grid stitched new, then again he doesn't like his gear real tight or real hard to hit depth in. He likes to get it on his old stuff to make it last longer

    Westside is the best side!

They're done on like a hammer strength seated/chest supported row machine. They hit your upper back a little bit differently and make it to where you can't cheat

Max effort squat at Cell Block

14 inch box squats with Mastodon and reverse mini (0 at top, -50 at bottom):
    160 x 3
    250 x 3
    340 x 3
    *belt*
    430 x 2
    430 x 2
    520 x 2
    520 x 2
    570 x 2
    570 x 2 - 6 work sets total
    *add suit bottoms*
    610 x 1
    660 x 1
    700 x 1

    Reverse hypers:
    3 plates x 10
    4 plates x 10
    5 plates x 10
    6 plates x 10

    Hip abduction:
    purple x 3 x 15

    Hangman abs:
    green x 8 x 15

Good session, good vibe in the gym. Weight didn't bother me like I thought it would. A reverse mini is a good transition into getting back in gear for the 12 weeks before the meet. Those bands don't help much with 700 pounds, haha.

Will be going to Cell Block every max effort squat day until the meet. This is when I normally get very strong

Well, my normal gym was closed due to snow, so I went to a commercial gym not far away and trained with a bodybuilder friend of mine. Somehow he talked me into doing reps on the deadlift, 405 was not fun haha.

Got 2 inches of snow here and people act like its 2 feet. My school is closed and this is finals week, so that allows for a bunchhhh of confusion and what not as to when finals will be.

Good session though. Currently eating pop tarts, anyone who is anyone knows "pop tart" is norwegian for "testosterone"

Great work lately Lones! I'm glad others got the memo on pop tarts. I always ate them pre-workout, now I go with sour patch kids.
