    First time trying these properly so went for 5 solid sets to get a feel for it. Bar speed and explosivness was great on all sets and reps. Rested 1 minute between sets.

    Felt really beat up today, a combination of feeling run down from having trouble sleeping and the dreaded 'Keto Flu' which i now seem to get every week starting a few days after my Carb-Nite. Kept things light and easy but still felt like a productive effort in the end.

    Thanks Gaz, gonna go back to basics for a while and build some serious foundation strength. I've always had the problem that I get bored easily and switch routine's instead of sticking with the basics which is what works at the end of the day.

    As of today i've ditched the Carb-Nite diet. After 5the first few weeks progress seemed up and down so i've just switched to a standard calorie deficit. Again 'back to basics'.

    Hey guys. Just thought i'd let people know I haven't updated in a while as I got admitted to Hospital about a month ago with Heart Failure. I got discharged after 2 weeks and am currently making a very slow recovery at my my Mum's...been pretty a pretty scary experience and caught me completely off guard. I'll post with full details when I have more time on a computer in a few days as i have no Internet access at my Mum's and currently using a friends computer while i make a quick visit.

    I've been taking it nice and easy mate but lost 24lbs as of today from a combination of not being able to train and the heavy dose of Diuretics i have to take daily which is pretty gutting. Seeing a specialist about starting a rehabilitative exercise routine in the next few week so hopefully i'll be back at the Iron sooner than later!

    From what i understand i have 2 holes in the septum that connects the chambers of the heart and one of the lower chambers is severely damaged which has obviously weakened my heart and its function and in turn caused the heart failure. The wholes things caused by me having an enlarged heart which is pretty crazy.

    Saw a Physiotherapist at the start of the week and going to be seeing her weekly for some cardiovascular work. She recommended against lifting but suggested if I do start back at the gym i should take it easy and gave me advice on things to avoid.
