    Lifting and Cardio....

ok, right now my goal is to build muscle.
Will adding 20-30 minutes of cardio before each session, allow me to keep building muscle and burning fat. or will it hinder the muscle growth?

Just as long as your diet compensates for the loss of calories while doing cardio, you'll be fine.

I would save it until after if you insist on doing it at all, from experience I find cardio worthless from a cutting perspective.

Well, then only reason i want to do it is because my job focuses on good cardio, being able to run far, fast, and hard, as well as ruck marching.

Then you need to improve your cardio, question answered. Just don't use it as a means to cut. You won’t find much improvement in your cardio while on a caloric deficient diet anyhow so timing is going to be key for your diet. I suggest carb cycling around your lifting and cardio.
