    Dieting question based around carbs.

    I have a problem. Im soon to start dieting down and usually with my advice from on here and many other sources i tend to keep protein high fats at a good level and carbs down a a little cycing them usually.

    This time im looking to recomp and shall be using AAs as i have used before.

    My stats are as follows -

    age - 21
    weight as of today - 200 pound
    bf - 14-15%

    My problem has come when ive gone through my diet with eddy ellwood some or maybe more of you will have heard of him he has won mr universe on several occasions etc.

    Well he outlined the below % shall we say and cal levels.

    total cals = 3200

    Protein = 200g - 800 cals - 25%

    carbs - 520g - 2080 cals - 65%

    fats - 40g - 320 cals - 10% minimum fat he said.

    All opinions on this welcome i know builts guna come at with me some interesting comments because it goes against alot of what every1 in this forum has discussed yet its hard to argue with the guy. He thinks that these levels should help me recomp to 200 pound at 10% or sub.

    All comments appreciated

    I reworked it a little to look like the below which seems a tad more reasonable

    Protein = 240g - 960 cals - 30%

    carbs - 440g - 1760 cals - 55%

    fats - 60g - 480 cals - 15%

    I dont know where Ive read it, but Ive read that dietary fats arent as important when you have AAS.

    With that in mind, watch out for bloat with all the carbs and AAS in your body.

    Have you considered a diet like UD2.0 for the recomp. Ive read on Lyles board that assisted the diet has incredible results.

    From spending time on Bodyrecomp, the deficit seem to be the only truly important aspect when it comes to dieting. I know the recommendation for fat is .5g/lbm, but there are plenty of stuides that say low fat and low carb diets produce very similar fat loss.

    Ofcourse AAS can complicate things, but just thought id throw it out there.
    Complication breeds desperation.

    Please get away from ratios.

    My understanding about AAS use is that you don't need fats so high because you don't need to support endogenous test production: you don't have any.

    Also, partitioning is improved, so you'll more insulin sensitive and should be able to handle (read: feel comfortable on) a lower-fat, higher carb diet, which will stimulate more insulin that the test you're taking will put to good use.

    Beyond this, I have no particular recommendations regarding fat-dosing, other than to suggest at least getting in your fish oils.
