    Must get bigger to throw self down the mountain faster

    on my mountain bike, that is.

    My goal: Increase functional strength to help with body (and bike) control for downhill racing season.

    Started Rippetoe's program 3 weeks ago and needed to get my progress off the scrap of paper I keep in my gym bag and onto somewhere more permanent.

    Weight: ~170
    Height: 5' 10''
    Age 25

    Week 1

    Workout A x 2:
    • Squat - 3 x 5 x 95
    • Bench - 3 x 5 x 75
    • Deadlifts - 1 x 5 x 75
    • Dips - 2 x 8 w/ 40 w.a.


    Workout B x 1:
    • Squat - 3 x 5 x 95
    • Standing Military Press - 3 x 5 x 45
    • Pendley Rows - 3 x 5 x 55
    • Chin-ups - 2 x 8 w/ 50 w.a.


    Just trying to get my bearings week 1 and figuring out my 5 rep max.

    • Dips - 2 x 8 w/ 30 w.a.


    Workout B x 2:
    • Squat - 3 x 5 x 105
    • Standing Military Press - 3 x 5 x 50
    • Pendley Rows - 3 x 5 x 75
    • Chin-ups - 2 x 8 w/ 40 w.a.
